  • Patent number: 12154741
Abstract: An assembly for engaging an electromagnetic actuator comprising a first shaft having a first link and a second shaft having a second link connected by a biasing assembly configured to rotate between an initial and a final position. A contact arm of the second shaft advances a sliding armature of the electromagnetic actuator from an activated state to a deactivated state such that the assembly prevents the electromagnetic actuator from returning to the activated state. The biasing assembly has a toggle-over position in which a biasing force rotates the contact arm from the toggle-over position to the final position.

  • Publication number: 20240385971
Abstract: A docking station operable in a plurality of modes is disclosed. An example method includes obtaining first data via a first interface of the docking station configured to couple the docking station to a computing device and second data via a second interface of the docking station configured to communicate with a network, responsive to operating in a first mode, obtaining third data via the second interface of the docking station, responsive to operating in a second mode, and selectively outputting the first and the second data, or the third data, to a display based on whether the docking station operates in the first or the second mode. The selectively outputting includes determining that the computing device is not coupled to the docking station, and in response, processing the third data by an application installed in a secure sandbox, and outputting the processed third data to the display.

  • Patent number: 12126701
Abstract: A method of compensating for potential interruptions in a wireless spatially selective connection over which data at a first compression level is transmitted from a host device to a client device involves determining (S32) that an interruption to the wireless spatially selective connection over which data is being transmitted at a first compression level to a client device is starting or is due to start, compressing (S3Y3) the data at a second compression level that is higher than the first compression level, and forwarding (S34) the data compressed at the second compression level to a transmitting component for wireless spatially non-selective broadcast while the interruption to the spatially selective connection occurs. Determining that the interruption is due to start may involve analysing a historical record of previous interruptions to determine a periodicity of the previous interruptions or receiving information from the transmitting component that an interruption is expected to occur.

  • Publication number: 20240305743
Abstract: This invention concerns a method of filming a subject to be projected as a Pepper's Ghost image. The method may comprise filming a subject under a lighting arrangement having one or more front lights for illuminating a front of a subject and one or more backlights. The lights may be controlled such that the total brightness of the one or more front lights, as measured of the subject, is less than or approximately the same as the total brightness of the one or more backlights, as measured at the subject. The subject may be located directly above one or more floor lights such the subject is illuminated from below by the one or more floor lights.

  • Patent number: 11750861
Abstract: A method of compensating for potential interruptions in a wireless connection (110) over which data is transmitted from a host device (11) to a client device (12) involves determining an expectation of an interruption to the wireless connection (110), setting a second compression level for compressing the data when an interruption is due, the second compression level being set at a higher level than a first compression level normally used for the data, compressing the data at the second compression level, and forwarding the data compressed at the second compression level to a transmitting component (16) for transmittal to the client device (12).
