  • Publication number: 20050148329
Abstract: A smartphone profiler system and method is provided for collecting profile data from a mobile device which is then transmitted to a server for analysis and customer care. The profile data may be transmitted in one or more data streams. The invention provides for more than one possible type of transmission protocol. If a transmission fails using a first transmission protocol, the invention allows a second transmission protocol to be used. The server is preferably capable of invoking a corrective action on the mobile device based on the profile data received.

  • Publication number: 20050149368
Abstract: A mobile care engine system is provided for delivering customer care to mobile devices, comprising. The mobile care engine system compares profile data from a mobile device with reference data and highlights any inconsistencies between the data, so that the device can be optimized. The inconsistencies are preferably determined using rule-based processing, and are automatically highlighted on the device display itself, or on a display of a customer service representative interface. Optionally, the system allows for corrective patches or settings to be sent to the device.

  • Patent number: 6333812
Abstract: An orbital scanning borescope includes a tube insertable into an inaccessible location in use and an optical system for gathering an image of a feature and transmitting the image to a viewing device located in a housing at the proximal end of the tube. The tube is rotatable about its longitudinal axis relative to the housing. The viewing device includes an ocular lens and a reticle both of which are rotatable relative to the tube. Therefore, the tube can be rotated until a desired feature can be viewed through the borescope. The reticle can then be rotated independently of the tube until it is aligned as appropriate with the feature of interest.
