    Abstract: A leg rope to secure a surf board to a surfer includes a cuff to engage around the leg of a surfer, an anchoring member to secure the leg rope to a surf board, the cuff being connected to the anchoring member by a helically coiled extensible member fixed at one end to the anchoring member and at its other end to a swivel which is connected to the cuff, and a catch on the swivel to prevent relative rotational movement between the swivel parts while the helically coiled member is under tension.
