  • Patent number: 11962293
Abstract: A passive sensor for detecting the operation of a light source includes a photosensor which, when illuminated by the light source, delivers a voltage to a field effect transistor (FET) which can switch a circuit to control a device at a remote location. The FET transitions rapidly between very low resistance (short circuit) and very high resistance (open circuit), allowing a binary indication to be given in the circuit. The circuit can be used to charge an electrical storage device to allow later download of recent status of the lamp by detecting the charge stored in the device.

  • Patent number: 11927315
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lighting device configured to mimic the appearance of a flame. In one embodiment, the lighting device includes a power subsystem configured to receive an alternating current input and to generate a direct current output. The lighting device also includes a reflector to reflect light generated by a lighting subsystem. A movement subsystem may move the reflector to mimic the appearance of a flame. A communication subsystem may receive at least one parameter associated with at least one of the lighting subsystem and the movement subsystem. A control subsystem may implement the at least one parameter.

  • Patent number: 10780836
Abstract: A substantially panel system for a truck includes a middle portion, a clamping portion, a displacement portion, and a clamp. The middle portion has mounting features configured to rigidly receive accessories or accessory mounts. The clamping portion is disposed above the middle portion. The displacement portion is disposed between the middle portion and the clamping portion and defines a lateral offset of the middle portion from the clamping portion. The clamp pulls the clamping portion toward a lip of a bed rail of a sidewall of a truck bed, thereby coupling the panel system to the sidewall of the truck bed, without the middle or displacement portions laterally extending farther toward the lip of the bed rail than the clamping portion.

  • Publication number: 20150339410
Abstract: Methods for product data management and corresponding systems and computer-readable mediums. A method includes receiving a computer aided design (CAD) model including a source part and receiving a command to create augmented data for the source part. The method includes creating an augmented part corresponding to the source part and performing at least one CAD operation on the CAD model using at least a portion of data of the source part and using augmented data of the augmented part.

  • Publication number: 20130238508
Abstract: Various disclosed embodiments include systems and methods for collaborative virtual product development. According to disclosed embodiments, a system includes a collaborative design associated with a virtual product, the collaborative design including a plurality of design elements representing units of data which include attributes, positions, and geometries of the virtual product. The collaborative design also references a plurality of partitions defined as a hierarchical organization of the design elements. The collaborative design also includes at least one workset comprising a subset of the design elements possessing memberships in the workset based on one or more predetermined rules. The workset is configured to enable a user to modify the collaborative design. The system includes a search application configured to search the design elements and operable to generate the subset based on the predetermined rules.

  • Patent number: 5588209
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a vehicle sway bar 10' (FIG. 2(b)) which has two non-metallic components 25 and 26 molded directly thereonto at a spacing D for interfacing with a vehicle chassis, enabling the bar to be fabricated separately from, rather than during assembly with, the vehicle, comprises producing a bar form 10 from steel rod bent to shape, defining a datum point or feature of the bar beam by which the bar can be located with respect to a reference part 33 of molding apparatus 30, defining a first portion 20 of the bar, at which a first component 25, is to be molded, in terms of its distance S from the datum feature, arranging the molding apparatus 30 with two molds 31, 32 a distance D apart and the first mold a distance S from reference part 33, locating the bar form 10 with the datum feature at the reference part and extending through the molds and molding components onto the first and second portions of the bar form to give sway bar 10'.
