  • Publication number: 20240005934
Abstract: In some implementations, a user device may receive input that triggers transmission of information via sound. The user device may select an audio clip based on a setting associated with the device, and may modify a digital representation of the selected audio clip using an encoding algorithm and based on data associated with a user of the device. The user device may transmit, to a remote server, an indication of the selected audio clip, an indication of the encoding algorithm, and the data associated with the user. The user device may use a speaker to play audio, based on the modified digital representation, for recording by other devices. Accordingly, the user device may receive, from the remote server and based on the speaker playing the audio, a confirmation that users associated with the other devices have performed an action based on the data associated with the user of the device.

  • Patent number: 7758301
Abstract: A gas turbine machine includes a second turbine (11), e.g. a low pressure turbine, positioned downstream from a first turbine (10), e.g. a medium pressure turbine. An arrangement for detecting a shaft break of a rotor shaft includes an operator element (16) positioned between the rotor of the first turbine (10) and a stator of the second turbine (11) radially inwardly relative to a flow channel, and a sensor element (21) guided in the stator of the second turbine (11), to convert a shaft break, detected by the radially inwardly positioned operator element (16), into an electrical signal and to transmit this electrical signal to a switching element which is positioned radially outwardly relative to the flow channel on a housing of the gas turbine machine.

  • Publication number: 20070160457
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for detecting a shaft break in a rotor of a first turbine (10), particularly a medium pressure turbine, of a gas turbine, particularly of an aircraft engine, whereby a second turbine (11), particularly a low pressure turbine, is positioned downstream of the first turbine (10), with an operator element (16) positioned between the rotor of the first turbine (10) and a stator of the second turbine (11) radially inwardly relative to a flow channel, and with a sensor element (21) guided in the stator of the second turbine (11), in order to convert a shaft break, detected by the radially inwardly positioned operator element (16), into an electrical signal and to transmit this electrical signal to a switching element which is positioned radially outwardly relative to the flow channel on a housing of the gas turbine.

  • Patent number: 7086830
Abstract: A tube-type vortex reducer conducts cooling air in a compressor (1) of a gas turbine. Radial secondary air tubes (2) are arranged in a disk interspace (5) and attached to a compressor disk (3) with their radial outward end sections. The end sections of the secondary air tubes (2) are attached to a separate carrier ring (6), which is connected to a compressor disk (3).
