    Abstract: A microwave dielectric resonator, e.g. for use in a microwave filter or oscillator, is provided with a tough low loss mount. The mount comprises a polymeric support layer 4, which is provided with an aperture 3 beyond which the resonator extends. About the first polymer layer 4 are a pair of polymeric retaining layers 2, 2'. These three polymer layers may be heat bonded together to secure the resonator. Interlayers 5 may be used between the three polymer layers 4, 2, 2' in order to effect a bond.
