  • Publication number: 20010006088
Abstract: A packaged product for dispensing a foamable liquid cleansing composition in the form of a mousse comprising a sealed container having a mechanically operable dispensing means which dispenses the cleansing composition as a mousse; and a multi-phase cleansing composition in the sealed container comprising by weight of the composition (a) a first aqueous phase including from 5 to 30% by weight of the total composition of an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, or a mixture thereof; (b) a second phase including from 10 to 80% by weight of the total composition of a water immiscible skin benefit agent, which undispensed cleansing composition separates into visually distinct phases on standing.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6114290
Abstract: An aqueous cleansing and oily soil removing composition comprising a surface active agent and an agent for removing oily soil from skin, in which the surface active agent and agent for removing oily soil are separate but combinedly dispensable from a single packaging means as discrete domains, preferably in a predetermined ratio. Separating the agent for removing oily soil from the surface active agent results in improved removal of oily soil from skin, and a clean, fresh feel which is appreciated by the consumer.

  • Patent number: 5814323
Abstract: A process for reversibly applying a cosmetic composition to the skin or comprising: a) contacting the skin or hair with the cosmetic composition, the composition comprising at least one amphiphilic material which is capable of forming a water-insoluble liquid crystal phase of greater than one-dimensional periodicity and a cosmetic agent and b) when desired, removing the cosmetic composition by applying to the skin or hair a cleansing composition comprising a surface active agent and a hydrotrope capable of destroying the liquid crystal phase formed in a step a). An advantage of such a system is that the cosmetic agent is strongly adhered to the skin or hair when applied and can be effectively removed when desired.
