  • Publication number: 20240123533
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for DED or WAAM, comprising a welding torch configured to generate an arc for generating a melt pool on a surface of a workpiece, and a wire feeder configured to feed a wire towards the melt pool to generate a weld seam on said surface, and an enclosure enclosing at least part of the workpiece and comprising a process atmosphere with a process gas, wherein a sucking device sucks part of the process gas out of the enclosure and thereafter re-introduces the process gas into the process atmosphere, and wherein the enclosure comprises or consists of a flexible housing or a tent and in the sucking device is connected to a buffer volume or a pressure stabilizing unit.

  • Patent number: 9878910
Abstract: A process and apparatus for recovering sulphur from a hydrogen sulphide containing gas stream are disclosed. A gas stream containing hydrogen sulphide gas is passed into an apparatus having a first thermal-reaction-region and a first catalytic region and reacting a portion of the hydrogen sulphide gas to sulphur dioxide and water and reacting a further portion to form sulphur vapor and water vapor to form a resultant-gas-mixture of water vapor, sulphur vapor, sulphur dioxide and hydrogen sulphide and passing a portion to the first catalytic-region whereby at least a portion of the hydrogen sulphide is reacted in the presence of a catalyst to form further sulphur vapor and water vapor and condensing at least a portion of sulphur vapor to form liquid sulphur and passing at least a portion of the liquid sulphur to a sulphur pit.

  • Publication number: 20160117900
Abstract: A method for detecting a fire event in a biomass storage system containing biomass is performed by continuously measuring the humidity in the biomass storage system; comparing the measured humidity to a pre-defined humidity and if the difference between the measured humidity and the pre-defined humidity exceeds a pre-determined amount, providing an alert to an operator.

  • Publication number: 20150151149
Abstract: In a silo for storing flammable materials, a plurality of gas inlet ports are provided in the silo for the introduction of a gas into the silo. A method of fire prevention within the storage silo introduces a fire retardant gas into the storage silo via the gas inlet ports, wherein only a portion of the gas inlet ports are in use at any one time.
