  • Publication number: 20230074431
Abstract: Devices and methods for measuring phosphate levels in a fluid, such as natural water, are disclosed. The devices and methods rely upon the anodic dissolution of molybdenum to generate a reagent from a phosphate-containing fluid, which is then measured electrochemically to determine a level of phosphate ions in the fluid. The different embodiments of devices used for performing this technique are transportable and have extended lifetimes when compared to existing devices used to measure phosphate levels in fluid. They can be used in situ at the source of a site to generate results within about two minutes, within about thirty seconds, and even within about ten seconds. They also consume much less energy and molybdenum per measurement. The disclosed embodiments include devices having one or two molybdenum electrodes, with one of the electrodes disposed near a working electrode. Various methods for determining phosphate levels in fluids are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11556596
Abstract: An electronic device obtains a plurality of collections of media content items, each collection of media content items being associated with text generated by one or more users of the media-providing service. The electronic device determines a coincidence metric for a first descriptor and a first media content item, the coincidence metric corresponding to a likelihood that the first descriptor appears in the text associated with a respective collection of media content items that includes the first media content item. Based on the coincidence metric, the electronic device generates a new collection of media content items for a first user. The new collection of media content items corresponds to the first descriptor and includes the first media content item.

  • Publication number: 20220256972
Abstract: Articles of footwear including a thermo-molded upper having a skin composed of one or more low melting point thermoplastic polymers. The skin may include at least one of: a base layer composed of a low melting point thermoplastic polymer and a grid layer including a yarn composed of a low melting point thermoplastic polymer. The uppers may be formed by placing a skin and an inflatable bladder into a mold cavity and heating the mold to a predetermined temperature. The inflatable bladder may be inflated such that the skin is pressed against an interior surface of the heated mold cavity to cause the skin to take on the shape of the internal surface of the mold cavity, thereby forming an upper for an article of footwear.

  • Patent number: 10666600
Abstract: Embodiments provide integrated reply functionality within the context of a contact card or panel. Contact information is provided for display in the contact card (e.g., a portion of a user interface of a computing device). The contact information is associated with a contact. The contact information identifies one or more transport modes for communication with the contact. In some embodiments, the computing device receives a request from a user to communicate with the contact via at least one selected transport mode. Based on the received request, the computing device provides an input field within the contact card. In other embodiments, the transport mode is automatically selected and the input field is displayed. Data from the user is received into the input field for communication to the contact. The computing device sends the data received into the input field to the contact via the selected transport mode.

  • Patent number: 9748021
Abstract: A plurality of telecommunications connections are installed in a distribution network by connecting a series of distribution points using a multicore cable comprising a plurality of cores having a common enclosure, some of the cores carrying fiber tubes into which optical fiber may later be introduced, and other cores carrying an electrical power supply. One or more cores may be diverted from a longer cable run to serve a local distribution point by rupturing a web connecting the core to the rest of the cable, thus allowing the remaining cores to be uninterrupted at the point of divergence. An alternative embodiment intended for underground use provides for apertures to be opened in a protective sheath to expose the individual cores required to be diverted to a local distribution point.
