  • Publication number: 20260092906
Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining the presence of a disease by analyzing a specimen by providing a vial partially containing the specimen and partially containing a headspace above the specimen, injecting an inert gas into the specimen in the vial to cause bubbling of the gas throughout at least a portion of the specimen such that the gas mixes with volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in the specimen to create a VOC/gas mixture that is released into the headspace, collecting the VOC/gas mixture from the headspace in the vial, supplying the VOC/gas mixture to a chamber within the apparatus, causing the VOC/gas mixture to pass over a sensor array in proximity to the chamber, the sensor array generating an electrical signal as a function of VOCs detected in the VOC/gas mixture, and processing the electrical signal to determine the presence of a disease in the specimen.

  • Publication number: 20260032303
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to a method implemented by computing systems for generating a set of media-file-specific fingerprints for filtering out targeted content in a media file. Systems access a media file and generate a data representation of the media file that represents intrinsic attributes of the media file. Next, systems identify one or more data structures of targeted content in the data representation. After identifying the different data structures comprising targeted content, systems generate a set of fingerprints of the one or more data structures. Systems are configured to receive a request to stream the media file and generate a plurality of segments of the media file to be transmitted to a media player for sequential playback. Systems then compare each segment of the plurality of segments against the set of fingerprints and refrain from transmitting the particular segment to the media player.

  • Publication number: 20250191547
Abstract: A method for creating waveforms having a multi-transition structure for driving color electrophoretic displays is described. The method includes generating a set of seed candidate waveforms, and applying each seed candidate waveform to the display pixels of the color electrophoretic display. The method includes measuring the optical state of each color created at the display pixels by applying the seed candidate waveforms, and selecting a set of seed waveforms based on the optical measurements of the colors produced by applying each seed candidate waveform. The method also includes generating a first sequence of perturbation waveforms, and applying each perturbation waveform of the first sequence of perturbation waveforms to each seed waveform of the color electrophoretic display. The method also includes measuring the optical state of each color created at the display pixels by applying each perturbation waveform of the first sequence to each seed waveform.

  • Publication number: 20240127031
Abstract: A graph neural network (GNN) model is used in a scheduling process for compiling a deep neural network (DNN). The DNN, and parameter options for scheduling the DNN, are represented as a graph, and the GNN predicts a set of parameters that is expected to have a low cost. Using the GNN-based model, a compiler can produce a schedule for compiling the DNN in a relatively short and predictable amount of time, even for DNNs with many layers and/or many parameter options. For example, the GNN-based model reduces the overhead of exploring every parameter combination and does not exclude combinations from consideration like prior heuristic-based approaches.

  • Publication number: 20240078981
Abstract: A method of driving a multi-pixel electrophoretic display that is designed to enable at least three colors, e.g., eight, at each pixel. This method uses a first drive scheme capable of effecting transitions between all of the color states that can be displayed at each pixel; and a second drive scheme that contains only transitions ending at white or black, which is very useful for drawing black lines on a white page, reading black text on a white page, or reading white text on a black page. In order to control the amount of impulse potential accumulated at each pixel during the switch between drive modes, two intermediate transitional modes are added.

  • Publication number: 20230340971
Abstract: A device that performs wireless actuation by inductive heating. The device includes a bladder configured to expand or retract, so as to change the bladder's interior area. The device also includes a container, fluidly coupled to the bladder via a connector, that houses a magnetic rod suspended in a fluid medium. The magnetic rod is configured to react to a magnetic field that produces a phase transition of the fluid medium, causing the fluid medium to be transferred to the bladder's interior area, via the connector, expanding the bladder. The device further includes an induction coil, disposed around the container, and the induction coil's first end is coupled to the container's interior. The device also includes an induction heater, coupled to the induction coil's second end, that powers the induction coil, such that the induction coil generates the magnetic field within the container.

  • Publication number: 20230074431
Abstract: Devices and methods for measuring phosphate levels in a fluid, such as natural water, are disclosed. The devices and methods rely upon the anodic dissolution of molybdenum to generate a reagent from a phosphate-containing fluid, which is then measured electrochemically to determine a level of phosphate ions in the fluid. The different embodiments of devices used for performing this technique are transportable and have extended lifetimes when compared to existing devices used to measure phosphate levels in fluid. They can be used in situ at the source of a site to generate results within about two minutes, within about thirty seconds, and even within about ten seconds. They also consume much less energy and molybdenum per measurement. The disclosed embodiments include devices having one or two molybdenum electrodes, with one of the electrodes disposed near a working electrode. Various methods for determining phosphate levels in fluids are also provided.
