  • Publication number: 20170320650
Abstract: A collapsible container includes an airflow input valve operably connected to one or more bladders on the inside surface of the container via an airflow network.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 28, 2017
    Publication date: November 9, 2017
    Applicant: ONLYBOX COMPANY LLC
Inventors: Ian Jacob Aguilar, Michael James Howard
  • Publication number: 20060214331
Abstract: Several processes for the manufacture of thin-walled tubes are described, including: injection moulding an article and annealing the article, injection moulding a blend of a polymer and a high melt flow polymer, injection moulding a blend of a polymer and nanoparticles or nanocomposites. Using nanoparticles to improve ESCR and/or tear resistance of a polymer or blend is also disclosed.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 16, 2004
    Publication date: September 28, 2006
    Inventor: Ian Jacobs
  • Publication number: 20050154255
Abstract: A surgical device used during a surgical procedure combines a cutting tool and an optical device for removing tissue from a distal area with visual inspection of the tissue that needs to be removed. In a preferred embodiment, the surgical device includes a cutting tool for removing tissue from an internal body part, the cutting tool including a cannula connected to a shaving member that cuts the tissue for removal, and an optical member coupled to the cutting tool for viewing the internal body part during a surgical proceeding.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 22, 2004
    Publication date: July 14, 2005
Applicant: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
    Inventor: Ian Jacobs
  • Patent number: 6030341
Abstract: A method of assessing risk of an individual for a disease is disclosed. A level of a marker for the disease is detected, and the risk of disease is computed from a statistical analysis of the marker level distributions for tested normal and diseased populations, using multivariate distributions. The computed risk is compared to thresholds to triage the individual into a normal, borderline, or elevated risk group, and a course of action based on the risk group is determined. Memory storing a program for execution on a data processing system, as well as a computer system comprising said memory is also disclosed, the memory comprising a receiver for signals representative of levels of a marker for the disease; a central processing unit for computing risk of disease from one or more levels of the marker, and for comparing the computed risk to thresholds to triage the individual; and storage medium for the marker levels for subsequent computations of risk of disease.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 24, 1998
Date of Patent: February 29, 2000
    Assignee: The General Hospital Corporation
Inventors: Steven J. Skates, Ian Jacobs, Robert Knapp
