Patent number: 11927315Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lighting device configured to mimic the appearance of a flame. In one embodiment, the lighting device includes a power subsystem configured to receive an alternating current input and to generate a direct current output. The lighting device also includes a reflector to reflect light generated by a lighting subsystem. A movement subsystem may move the reflector to mimic the appearance of a flame. A communication subsystem may receive at least one parameter associated with at least one of the lighting subsystem and the movement subsystem. A control subsystem may implement the at least one parameter.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2023Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Velaflame, LLCInventors: Ken Bretschneider, Patrice Bretschneider, Kyler Tolman, Ian Jensen, Valerie Fisher, JuHang Kim, Nathan Jensen

Patent number: 11848957Abstract: One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for session management, security scoring, and friction management are provided herein. Sessions may be monitored for commonalities or other attributes or aspects and closed, terminated, or a freeze placed on additional sessions from being initiated. A security score may be provided which is indicative of how secure a user is with respect to one or more ways the user interacts with a resource. One or more suggested actions or score improvement strategies may be suggested to facilitate improvement of a security score for a user. Friction management may be provided by having one or more additional layers of security applied to an account of a user or an entity based on suspicious behavior or other factors.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2022Date of Patent: December 19, 2023Assignee: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Traci H. Nguyen, Nairobi N. Kim, Ian Jensen, Upul Hanwella, Brian J. Hanafee, Christopher Wayne Howser, Ajay Panikkar, Michael Chang

Patent number: 8696478Abstract: A dasher board assembly, particularly well-suited for an ice hockey rink, includes a number of advantageous structures including an ice dam (ice retainer), puck rebound facilitator backing a kickplate, and a unitary rigid L-shaped anchoring device for the dasher board frame. The ice dam has a main body component and a lip upstanding from the body a distance sufficient to assist in blocking moisture movement past the dasher board and to provide an open space. The rigid L-shaped anchoring device is connected by fasteners to vertical elements of the dasher board frame, and to the ice dam body, to provide stable mounting of the frame. The puck rebound facilitator may be a buckling elastomeric tube that is essentially rigid when a hockey puck impacts the kickplate but buckles to absorb the force of impact if a hockey player strikes the dasher board.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2012Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Inventors: Marc Kapsalis, Erzabeth J. Fekete, Melanine Anne Ouellette, Ian Jensen Gillerman, Aren Yale Paster, Mark Walter Steiner, Andrew S. Miller
