  • Publication number: 20030233466
Abstract: A method and system provide for communication of a message between a sender and a receiver by use of message queuing middleware, wherein the sender has a computer with a sender queue manager and operating under a sender application linked to both a sender channel library and a sender application programming interface (API) library, and the receiver has a receiver computer operating under a receiver application and providing the functions of a receiver queue manager and a receiver channel agent dedicated writer that are linked to a receiver API library. Method steps include applying API calls to both remote and local queue managers respectively to the sender channel and API libraries, sending the message to the receiver channel agent, and directing the receiver queue manager to receive API calls from the from the receiver API library and to read the message from a received queue to the receiver application.

  • Publication number: 20010052031
Abstract: A method for providing a standard interface between a application programming interface (API) and a message queuing middleware (MQM). The method comprises the steps of receiving a function call. The function call is applied to a message middleware library comprising at least three unique sets of messaging middleware protocols. The method continues to translate the function call to a receiver format associated with one of the messaging middleware protocols and transmits the translated function call to a messaging middleware systems.

  • Publication number: 20010034782
Abstract: A method for providing efficient bi-directional communications between a client computer and at least one server computer where the server computer hosts at least one message queuing middleware system. The method comprises the steps of providing a client computer code module resident on a client computer. The step of providing the client computer code further comprises the steps of providing at least one adapter code module resident on the client computer. The adapter code module receives a message from the client computer and associates the data message with the least one message queuing middleware system. The adapter code module transmits the associated data message to the at least one server computer. The server computer, holding in a quiescent state until a message is inbound, receives the associated data message.
