    Abstract: A latch apparatus is disclosed comprising a latch supporting member and a latch member pivotally connected to the latch supporting member. The latch member comprises an extendable handle arm member. The latch apparatus further comprises a tray member connected to the latch supporting member and a cage member connected to the tray member. According to an exemplary embodiment, the latch member further comprises an engagement arm member comprising a first engaging member. Alternatively, the latch member further comprises a resilient member comprising a first engaging member. Moreover, the extendable handle arm member comprises a second engaging member. Furthermore, the latch supporting member comprises a third engaging member and a fourth engaging member. When the extendable handle arm member is in a latched position, the first engaging member is engaged with the cage member and the third engaging member, and the second engaging member is engaged with the fourth engaging member.

    Abstract: An electrical adapter is provided for engaging a connector plug. The adapter comprises a male end, a female end, and a retention member. The male end is disposed at one end of the adapter for connecting the adapter to a female receptacle corresponding to the connector plug. The female end is disposed at another end of the adapter for engaging the connector plug. The female end comprises a top cap having a button disposed thereon. The retention member comprises a holder section, an energy storage section, and an energy release section. The holder section holds the connector plug. The energy storage section stores energy resulting from when the connector plug engages the retention member. When engaged by the button, the energy release section releases the energy stored in the energy storage section such that the connector plug automatically ejects from the adapter.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger is connected with a heat source in order to dissipate heat generated by the heat source. The fastening apparatus includes a first bracket and a second bracket, both connected to the base, and a first latch element. There is a first opening formed in the first bracket. The first latch element is connected to one side of the heat exchanger, and includes a first protrusion and a first contact section. The first protrusion penetrates through the first opening making the first bracket provide movement limitation to the heat exchanger. The second bracket provides additional movement limitation to the heat exchanger. To separate the heat exchanger from the base, the first contact section is pressed to make the first protrusion move out of the first opening.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a retention apparatus for installation of a device into a device cage, wherein the device cage has a front cage opening and a rear cage opening. The retention apparatus includes: an elongate main body adapted to be positioned on a side of the device; and a latching mechanism mounted on the elongate main body and located corresponding to a location substantially near the rear cage opening for releasably engaging with the device cage. The user can unlatch the latching mechanism near the rear cage opening and move forward the electronic device in combination with the retention apparatus by a finger so that the electronic device in combination with the retention apparatus protrudes from the front cage opening and then the electronic device in combination with the retention apparatus can be removed from the device cage conveniently.
