  • Publication number: 20240125232
Abstract: A cutter head includes a first member, a cutting bit, and a second member. The first member includes a first end and a second end and includes a first mass. The cutting bit is coupled to the first member proximate the second end. The cutting bit includes a cutting edge rotatable about the axis. The second member is rotatable about the axis and includes a second mass eccentrically positioned with respect to the axis. Rotation of the second mass causes the first member and the cutting bit to oscillate.

  • Publication number: 20240094233
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for associating consumable data with an assay consumable used in a biological assay. Provided are assay systems and associated consumables, wherein the assay system adjusts one or more steps of an assay protocol based on consumable data specific for that consumable. Various types of consumable data are described, as well as methods of using such data in the conduct of an assay by an assay system. The present invention also relates to consumables (e.g., kits and reagent containers), software, data deployable bundles, computer-readable media, loading carts, instruments, systems, and methods, for performing automated biological assays.

  • Patent number: 9998782
Abstract: A method, a system, and a non-transitory storage medium provides to store first recording information that indicates programs that are recorded and stored at user devices, and programs to be recorded and stored at the user devices, receive, from a user device, a message that includes second recording information, wherein the second recording information includes second data instances; compare a portion of the first recording information with the second recording information; determine whether there is a difference between each first data instance relative to each corresponding second data instance; determine a master source for each first data instance that differs from each corresponding second data instance; update each first data instance that differs, one of the network device or the user device based on the master source, and provide the DVR service based on an updated portion of the first recording information, an updated second recording information, or both.

  • Publication number: 20120142546
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and kits for identifying a cell that exhibits or is predisposed to exhibiting unregulated growth by detecting hypomethylation of a gene or a regulatory region in at least one gene in the cell. Also provided are methods for diagnosis or prognosis of a proliferative disorder in a subject. Also provided are methods of ameliorating a cell proliferative disorder in a subject by administering to the subject an agent that methylates a hypomethylated gene or regulatory region thereof. In some aspects, the gene or regulatory region thereof is TKTL1, H19, MAGEA2, MAGEA3, MAGEA4, MAGEA11, GPR1 7, GRTN1, C19ORF28, MAGEA12, MAGEA1, MAGEA5, NY-ESO-1, MAGEA9, MAGEA6, MAGEB2, CT45-2, SBSN, G6PD, ZNF711, CrispL, KRT86, KIPV467, KRT81, CSPG5, PP1R14A, KISS1R, KIAA1937 protein, SOX30, DEAD, or KBGP.

  • Patent number: 6730927
Abstract: Devices for the measurement of volumetric flow rate of a gas in a conduit are described. A vane arrangement is subjected to airflow and is displaced I response thereto. The vane arrangement forms a light guide, and one end of the vane arrangement receives an encoded light source, the encoding being over the range of displacement of the vane. In one form, the encoding can be achieved by a light source and a mask, the mask being shaped to provide for variance of the light transmitted therethrough as a function of the vane displacement range. One form of mask can be a tapered arrowhead. Embodiments of the flow rate measurement device offer good dynamic response. The measuring device can be incorporated in CPAP or ventilatory assist devices for the control thereof.
