  • Patent number: 8860260
Abstract: A system contains a first actuator half containing a first pair of actuator coils and a second pair of actuator coils located above the first pair of actuator coils, wherein the first pair of actuator coils is connected to a first metallic backing. A second actuator half is also providing within the system, which contains a first pair of actuator coils and a second pair of actuator coils located above the first pair of actuator coils, wherein the first pair of actuator coils is connected to a second metallic backing. The system also contains a mechanical flexure suspension having at least one flexure supporting a permanent magnet that is capable of moving, wherein the mechanical flexure suspension is located between the first actuator half and the second actuator half.

  • Patent number: 8553205
Abstract: A control system controls a positioning device displaceable in at least one degree of freedom by a reluctance motor. A force sensing element and a controller adjust force applied by the motor responsive to a force sensing element configured to sense force applied by the motor. The controller receives a signal representing force applied by the motor from the force sensing element, obtain an acceleration trajectory plan associated with a velocity trajectory plan for the positioning device, obtain a force trajectory plan associated with the acceleration trajectory plan, compare the force applied with a required amount of force obtained from the force trajectory, and adjust the amount of force applied by the motor based on the comparison. Related methods are also presented.

  • Publication number: 20130205855
Abstract: A method and a production line for producing a cold-rolled steel flat product from a hot strip with scale adhering to it and consisting of a non-corroding steel. The hot strip with scale adhering to it is cold-rolled into a steel flat product, the cold-rolled steel flat product is annealed and the annealed steel flat product is descaled. According to the invention, the cold-rolled steel flat product obtained after cold rolling the hot strip is subjected to descaling treatment in the hard-rolled state before annealing, in which the scale present on the cold-rolled steel flat product is mechanically removed. In this way, methods and production lines can be implemented, by means of which cold-rolled steel flat products can be produced cost-effectively from non-corroding steel with an improved surface finish.
