  • Publication number: 20120098201
Abstract: A method and system of generating, funding, and distributing multiple jackpots in a game such as poker, specifically such as Texas Hold 'Em. The jackpots may be separate, independent bad beat jackpots that pay out at different intervals due to having independent triggering conditions that have different odds of occurring. Preferably, the triggering condition for each jackpot may be a losing player's hand strength. The specific values for the triggering conditions may be chosen by random, may be generally evenly distributed over the number of jackpots, may be determined by an algorithm, e.g., one that relies on the odds of each hand occurring, or by another method. The jackpots may be funded from rakes collected from substantially every hand that is played—subject to certain prerequisites being established—such that each jackpot may be considered progressive in that it grows over time.

  • Publication number: 20110244935
Abstract: A game that includes both a slot-type game portion and a role-playing-type game portion. The game may include a plurality of characters with various abilities that may have modifiable values. The slot game may allow the player to play multiple lines and may include a multiplier that augments the value of any prize on any winning line. In addition, the slot game may include ability-related symbols on its reels, whereby an ability value for a selected character may be increased if the ability-related symbol appears on the reels after a spin. The role-playing type game may include features or subgames related to the abilities, where the features allow the character to compete to increase the ability values and to win additional prizes or compensation. Successfully completing a feature may be a random event, like the spin's of the slot game, or, alternatively, success may depend on the player's skill or ability.

  • Patent number: 8021594
Abstract: A method/process for curing imprint on a template prior to contact with a substrate. A curing process is used to adhere the imprint to a wafer or substrate. Monomer is deposited on a template and then partially cured using a UV exposure. The exposure is controlled so that the imprint is cured past the gel point, but still retains a thin liquid layer of uncured monomer at the surface that will bond with the wafer. Further, this partially cured layer enables the alignment adjustments between the template and the substrate to be performed after contact between the two without pulling any monomer out of the features.

  • Publication number: 20100092599
Abstract: Systems and methods for minimizing overlay error during alignment of a template with a substrate are described. Templates generally include two distinct types of alignment marks: buried alignment marks and complementary alignment marks. Buried marks may be fabricated separately from the patterning surface, and the complementary marks may be fabricated in the same step as the patterning surface.

  • Publication number: 20090243153
Abstract: Droplets of polymerizable material may be patterned on a film sheet. The droplets of polymerizable material may be dispensed on the film sheet. A pre-determined force may be applied to an imprint lithography template such that localized trapping of the droplets of the polymerizable material on the film sheet is minimized and the droplets coalesce to form a continuous layer. The polymerizable material may be solidified to form a patterned layer having a residual layer and at least one feature.

  • Publication number: 20090214686
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method forming conductive templates that includes providing a substrate; forming a mesa on the substrate; and forming a plurality of recessions and projections on the mesa with a nadir of the recessions comprising electrically conductive material and the projections comprising electrically insulative material. It is desired that the mesa be substantially transparent to a predetermined wavelength of radiation, for example ultraviolet radiation. As a result, it is desired to form the electrically conductive material from a material that allows ultraviolet radiation to propagate therethrough. In the present invention indium tin oxide is a suitable material from which to form the electrical conductive material.
