  • Publication number: 20230193599
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for detecting water leaks and mitigating the damage caused by the detected leaks. The system may include a processor and a storage device storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations may include obtaining sensor data that is generated by one or more flow rate sensors located at a property, obtaining status data that is generated by one or more connected water shutoff valves located at the property, determining, based on (i) the obtained sensor data and (ii) the obtained status data whether a water leak has been detected at the property, and in response to determining, based on (i) the obtained sensor data and (ii) the obtained status data, that a water leak has been detected at the property, initiating performance of one or more water damage mitigation operations.

  • Patent number: 9528688
Abstract: Retrofit floodlight systems, brackets and related methods are provided for retrofitting existing floodlight systems having a floodlight enclosure and a superseded light source to include solid-state lighting functionality. An example retrofit floodlight system includes a floodlight enclosure having a base receptacle and a cover coupled to the base receptacle to define an interior cavity and at least one light generation assembly including an array of solid-state lighting elements operable to collectively emit a flood of light from the floodlight enclosure which is mounted within the floodlight enclosure by a retrofit bracket.

  • Patent number: 9261272
Abstract: Configurable light fixtures are provided. The light fixture includes a housing having an opening. At least one reflector having at least a first and a second configurable throw pattern, is disposed within the housing proximate the opening. The reflector accommodates the post-manufacture installation of a number of reflective throw pattern adjustment members to provide first and second configurable throw patterns having subtended angles with the same or different values.

  • Publication number: 20090162943
Abstract: This invention relates to the detection of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) in samples using agents, such as antibodies, that bind to the extreme N-terminal region of mature full-length PrP. These allow the development of sensitive immunoassays for PrPd for use in the detection of TSE without the need for proteolysis.

  • Patent number: 6428960
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method for producing recombinant baculoviruses expressing genes of interest by inserting a selectable marker gene, specifically the puromycin resistance (pac) gene, adjacent to the gene of interest into the baculovirus genome, and selecting for viruses that express the selectable marker. Selection of the recombinant virus in the presence of a selection condition, such as puromycin-containing cell culture media, simplifies virus production by eliminating the need for cloning, and testing the virus for gene expression. Such expression systems are readily adapted to an automated method for expression foreign genetic material in a high throughput manner.
