Publication number: 20250058433Abstract: A hydraulic torque wrench (10), comprising: a head (11), having an input for pressurised hydraulic fluid; a rotatable connector, for connecting to an item to be rotated by the hydraulic torque wrench (10); and a drive mechanism (12), driven by hydraulic fluid introduced at the input and tending to rotate the rotatable connection. A reaction arm (1) mounted on the head (11) through a mounting (16) which selectively allows rotational motion of the reaction arm (1) relative to the head (11) about an axis, the reaction arm (1) arranged to react against a surface when the drive mechanism (12) rotates the rotatable connection.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventors: Joseph GILL, Tony DODDS, Teresa O'BRIEN, Ian O'BRIEN

Publication number: 20250058440Abstract: A hydraulic torque wrench (10) comprising: a housing (12); a drive pawl (1), pivotally mounted in the housing (12); and a piston rod (2), configured to be driven and connected to the drive pawl (1) in order to drive the drive pawl (1). A ratchet gear (3), configured to be driven for rotation by the drive pawl (1). A spring (4), configured to bias the drive pawl (1) into engagement with the ratchet gear (3). A travel limiter arranged to limit a pivoting travel of the drive pawl (1) away from engagement with the ratchet gear (3). By limiting the travel of the drive pawl (1), we remove the risk of over-extension of the spring (3).Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventors: Ian O'BRIEN, Joseph GILL, Tony DODDS, Teresa O'BRIEN

Publication number: 20250058434Abstract: A drive (11) assembly (10) of a torque wrench (1), the drive (11) assembly (10) comprising: a ratchet (14), having internal splines (13a; 14a); a drive (11), comprising a shaft (11b) arranged to be removably received within the ratchet (14), the shaft (11b) passing through the ratchet (14) and having external splines (11a) arranged to mesh with the splines of the ratchet (14) such that rotation of the ratchet (14) rotates the shaft (11b); and a drive sleeve (13), arranged to be seated on the ratchet (14) and having internal splines (13a; 14a) matching the internal splines (13a; 14a) of the ratchet (14). The drive sleeve (13) and ratchet (14) comprise cooperating features arranged to prevent relative rotation of the drive sleeve (13) and ratchet (14) when the drive sleeve (13) is seated on the ratchet (14). Improvement of the case of use of the tool is enabled.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: February 20, 2025Inventors: Ian O'BRIEN, Joseph GILL, Tony DODDS, Teresa O'BRIEN

Patent number: 12208951Abstract: A container packaging system. The container packaging system includes a container having a body and wings. The wings are coupled to the body at a joint that terminates at a junction. The system includes a mounting device having a front face, a rear face, and a slot. The slot includes a top end and a bottom end, a first flap, and a second flap. Each of the first flap and the second flap is configured to pivot when the body is passed through the slot. When the container is removably coupled to the mounting device: (a) the body faces one of the front face and the rear face and the wings face the other of the front face and the rear face; (b) the first flap and the second flap are in contact with the body; and (c) the junction is in contact with the bottom end.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2023Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Assignee: Oblige, LLCInventors: Benjamin Chaykin, Connor Cararra, Ian O'Brien

Publication number: 20240416491Abstract: A hydraulic torque wrench (10), comprising: an input, for pressurised hydraulic fluid; a drive connector (14); a drive connector (13), driven by hydraulic fluid introduced at the input and arranged to drive the drive connector (14) to rotate; a drive member (1) for connecting to an item to be rotated by the hydraulic torque wrench (10), the drive member (1) comprising: a drive member (16), which engages the drive connector (14) so as to be driven by the drive connector (14) and a second part (18) arranged to be coupled to the item to be rotated. In which the drive member (1) comprises a retention mechanism which has two states: a first state, in which it prevents removal of the drive member (1) from the drive connector (14); and, a second, state in which it permits removal of the drive member (1) from the drive connector (14). In which the retention mechanism remains connected to the drive member (1) in the first state and in the second state.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2022Publication date: December 19, 2024Inventors: Ian O'BRIEN, Joseph GILL, Tony DODDS, Teresa O'BRIEN

Publication number: 20050273353Abstract: The invention is directed to a mandate compliance system, apparatuses, computer-readable media, and methods which strongly encourage a mandatee or probationer under order from a court to comply with the terms of the mandate. If the mandatee fails to comply with terms of a court order, then the mandatee loses the use of a controlled device. The controlled device can be his/her automobile or television set, for example. In some embodiments, a compliance device, such as a code-activated ignition lock, is installed into an automobile as the controlled device. Activation codes effective for limited periods of time are provided to the mandatee or probationer sequentially over time as long as such person meets milestones or scheduled performance under the mandate. The immediacy of deprivation of use of a controlled device motivates the mandatee to comply with the terms of the mandate.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2005Publication date: December 8, 2005Inventors: Ian O'Brien, W. McCurdy, James Walker
