  • Patent number: 10639012
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for measuring circulating cells in superficial body fluids by means of high-frequency-based device. The method can be used for detecting circulating cells in the fluids of an individual without the necessity of extracting a sample of the individual, being useful as a diagnostic tool and for monitoring the effectiveness of a treatment administered to an individual suffering from a viral, protozoal, fungal and/or bacterial disease.

  • Patent number: 10622112
Abstract: There is described a method of reprocessing spent nuclear fuel. The spent nuclear fuel is added to an electro-reduction cell containing a halide salt electrolyte at a temperature above the melting point of the metallic form of uranium and higher actinides present in the spent nuclear fuel. The cell is operated so as to electrochemically reduce the spent nuclear fuel to an alloy of uranium and higher actinides present in the spent nuclear fuel, wherein electrochemical reduction is continued until a concentration of unreduced components of the spent nuclear fuel is sufficiently low for the ahoy to agglomerate.

  • Patent number: 10598625
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and devices for the detection of analytes. The methods employ particles formed from a first metal conjugated to analytes. The analyte conjugated to the particle formed from the first metal can be accumulated at a working electrode. The first metal can be galvanically exchanged with ions of a second metal to form a layer of the first metal at the working electrode. The first metal can then be electrochemically detected and/or quantified. Using this method, analytes can be detected at low concentrations a few femtomolar via anodic stripping voltammetry, with no washing steps or electrode modifications.

  • Publication number: 20190358120
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable IR emitters to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR emitters in a sauna.

  • Patent number: 10453445
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a GPU-accelerated speech recognition engine optimized for faster than real time speech recognition on a scalable server-client heterogeneous CPU-GPU architecture, which is specifically optimized to simultaneously decode multiple users in real-time. In order to efficiently support real-time speech recognition for multiple users, a “producer/consumer” design pattern is applied to decouple speech processes that run at different rates in order to handle multiple processes at the same time. Furthermore, the speech recognition process is divided into multiple consumers in order to maximize hardware utilization. As a result, the platform architecture is able to process more than 45 real-time audio streams with an average latency of less than 0.3 seconds using one-million-word vocabulary language models.

  • Patent number: 10419296
Abstract: An apparatus, computer program, and method are provided for displaying a configuration of a communications network as an overlay on another configuration. A network model is stored that represents a first configuration of a communications network. Further, one or more changes to the first configuration are identified that represent a second configuration of the communications network. The second configuration of the communications network is displayed as an overlay on the first configuration of the communications network to show the one or more changes in connection with the first configuration.

  • Publication number: 20190213340
Abstract: A method of obscuring information carried visibly on a surface of an integrated circuit of an electronic device, the method comprising obscuring the information so as to replace the information with a visual representation of information relating to the device. Also, a method of controlling access to a first key which controls access to an electronic device, the method comprising storing an encrypted key, being the first key encrypted with a second key, as a visible representation on the device. The encrypted key can be stored in storage of the device such as non-volatile memory. Furthermore, a method of controlling access to a first key which controls access to an electronic device, in which the device comprises a processor having a full operating function set, the method comprising storing an encrypted key, being the first key encrypted with a second key, at the device in a manner that access to the encrypted key does not require the full operating function set of the processor.

  • Patent number: 10325434
Abstract: A system and method of using the same, wherein the system comprises: an optical surface having a diffractive image generating structure disposed thereon, the diffractive image generating structure itself comprising a layer of reflective material incorporating a plurality of grooved diffractive elements each having a periodic wave surface profile, the periodic wave surface profiles each having a groove alignment direction; a source of incident electromagnetic radiation arranged to illuminate the diffractive elements at an angle of incidence substantially normal to the plane of the surface of the diffractive elements; means for polarizing the radiation from the source, and means for polarizing radiation reflected from the diffractive elements; wherein the diffractive elements are configured such that, in use, polarization conversion of the incident radiation takes place, and wherein the diffractive elements are disposed in a two dimensional array of pixels to represent an image; and further wherein the means fo
