Abstract: A system and method for merging information from a plurality of enterprise information stores on a network using a mobile communication device capable of accessing the network. Using the mobile communication device, communication or contact information is requested from the enterprise information stores, and merged with the content of a personal information store resident in the mobile communication device to create a merged data set for uploading to an enterprise information store on the network. In creating the merged data set, the value of a principal identifier in the requested communication information is used to query the personal information store in order to locate data in the personal information store having a value matching the principal identifier.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for integrating authentication protocols in the establishment of connections between a controlled-access first computing device and at least one second computing device. In one embodiment of the invention, network access user authentication data needed to access the at least one second computing device is transmitted to an authentication server automatically if the user has access to use the first computing device, thereby not requiring the user to manually enter the authentication data needed for such access at the first computing device. The network access user authentication data may be, for example, retrieved from a memory store of the first computing device and/or generated in accordance with an authentication data generating algorithm.

Abstract: A system and method for managing informational objects on a mobile device. A user-selectable option is displayed to a user of the mobile device. The option is associated with an action to be performed on informational objects sharing at least one specified characteristic (e.g., storing all e-mail messages that are part of the same thread in a folder, generating a distribution list of contacts belonging to a specified group). After the user has selected the option, the application identifies informational objects having the at least one specified characteristic and performs the action on the identified objects.

Abstract: Systems and methods of mimetic message settings selection on a messaging client are provided. In one embodiment, when an outgoing message is composed on a messaging client, the messaging client determines whether the outgoing message is related to a received message. Where the outgoing message is related to the received message, the messaging client determines the messaging settings used in the received message, and selects the messaging settings used in the received message to control message characteristics of the outgoing message.

Abstract: A device and method for fabricating a device holder for use with a standard holder body of a transmission electron microscope for use with in situ microscopy of both static and dynamic mechanisms. One or more electrical contact fingers is disposed between a baseplate and a frame, with a MEMS device making contact with the electrical contact fingers. A connector is provided to matingly engage the transmission electron microscope and the device holder to couple the device holder to the transmission electron microscope. Once clamped between the baseplate and frame, the electrical contact fingers may be separated from the template.

When an outgoing message to be sent from the messaging client is addressed to a message recipient, the messaging client accesses a data store to determine whether specific messaging settings have been stored for the message recipient.
