    Abstract: A system and a method for scheduling an emergency procedure in response to detecting that a patient has a high probability of acute myocardial infarction. The system is able to identify patients that are suspected of having acute myocardial infarction (or acute ischemia). The system uses one or more expert software tools or algorithms to analyze received ECG records. Each software tool has logic (e.g., thresholds and/or settings) for automatic routing which is configurable by the customer via a graphical user interface. If any sufficient condition for automatic routing is satisfied, the system routes the data (including the underlying ECG record) and an alert to an electronic device which is accessible by the cardiologist “on call” via a bidirectional pager. If the cardiologist decides that the requested emergency treatment or procedure should be performed, the system accesses the schedules of all associated catheterization labs across multiple hospitals to identify a lab having optimum time-to-treatment.

    Abstract: A pre-conditioned ECG system and method includes a patient signaling device configured to alert the patient to minimize the patient's activity so that an ECG measurement may be taken, and further alerts the patient when the measurement is completed. The pre-conditioned ECG system and method also includes a pre-set buffer configured to hold a preset length of ECG data, and further configured to hold pre-set ECG parameters such as mean R-R interval, standard deviation of R-R interval, or simple rhythm analysis. The system and method may analyze the current 10 seconds of ECG data when the preset parameters are met or when selected parameters are met.

    Abstract: A system and a method for automatically detecting a new left bundle branch block (LBBB) in an ECG series and then issuing an alert for the purpose of accelerating treatment for acute myocardial infarction. A serial comparison program is used to compare each current ECG with a previous ECG for the same patient. Diagnostic statements, measurements and waveforms are compared and based on the comparisons, the system is able to automatically determine that the patient has a new LBBB. The system then automatically determines whether the patient belongs to the category of patients having a high probability of acute myocardial infarction. If acute myocardial infarction is suspected, the system generates a diagnostic statement stating that the new left bundle branch block may be due to acute myocardial infarction. The current ECG exhibiting a new LBBB is then identified with a special tag and sent to a central database server.
