  • Publication number: 20180263940
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions, methods and kits for the treatment of dermopathies. In particular, the compositions, methods and kits are particularly useful, but not limited to, the treatment of ichthyoses such as Harlequin Ichthyosis. The present invention provides a method of treating a skin condition associated with lipid dysfunction, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof aminosalicyclic acid (ASA), ASA derivative, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester, amide, polymorph and/or prodrug thereof, thereby treating a skin condition associated with lipid dysfunction. Preferably, the skin condition associated with lipid dysfunction is an ichthyoses, for example Harlequin Ichthyosis. Preferably, the ASA is mesalamine.

  • Patent number: 9036337
Abstract: An enclosure is provided for a device comprising one or more electronic assemblies where the enclosure deforms under a shock in one or more selected manners to dissipate the shock energy. The deformation, which is elastic deformation, occurs at selected parts of the enclosure and/or in selected translations and/or rotations where those selections are made by the designer of the enclosure. By being able to define where and how the deformations will occur, the electronic assemblies can be located, mounted and interconnect within the enclosure such that the deformation does not adversely affect the assemblies or device.

  • Publication number: 20130120398
Abstract: The present specification teaches an input device and method for electronic apparatus. The input device can be based on one or more force sensitive input devices, such as force sensitive resistors. The electronic apparatus includes an output device such as a display. A processor is configured to receive input from the input device and to control the display or other output device. In certain implementations, the display is controlled to generate a first graphical object that is associated with an instruction. The processor is configured to generate a second graphical object in response to an input received from the force sensitive input device that corresponds with the instruction.

  • Patent number: 7401704
Abstract: A conveyor apparatus for conveying solid material in a process vessel includes, a first baffle set comprising a plurality of inclined baffles located above the eductors and arranged to restrict upward flow of solids in the direction of movement of the solids. A second baffle set may be used to prevent particles rebounding from an end wall and back into upper levels of the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20070138108
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for the controlled application of ultrasonic energy for conditioning of mixtures of gas and liquids by evolving and/or agglomerating gas bubbles existing with or in a liquid or for coalescing droplets of liquid dispersed in another liquid. The invention in preferred embodiments thereof comprises a coalescing apparatus for Increasing the droplet size of a mixture formed as a liquid dispersed in another liquid, and a de-gassing apparatus arranged to evolve and/or agglomerate gaseous bubbles in a gas/liquid mixture. In the apparatuses, ultrasonic transducers are used to impart vibrational energy to the mixtures.
