  • Patent number: 12248495
Abstract: A method for managing data synchronization for a database having a dynamic schema, the method comprising: generating, at a first client device, a first changeset that is representative of an operation on a data object in a database; transmitting a synchronization request for synchronizing the database with one or more changesets generated by a second client device; receiving a second changeset that is representative of an operation performed by the second client device on the data object, wherein the database is shared between the first client device and the second client device; and merging, at the first client device, the first changeset and the second changeset to update the data object, wherein the merging is performed based on data received from a plurality of the one or more servers operating in parallel to each other.

  • Publication number: 20240427798
Abstract: Described herein are tiered synchronization systems and methods suitable for use in non-relational database systems distributed across multiple remote locations, which may provide access to some or all functionality of a cloud-tier server at a mid-tier server. For example, the mid-tier server may be locally accessible (e.g., over LAN) to clients independent of any remote connection to the cloud-tier server (e.g., over the Internet). In some embodiments, a mid-tier server may be configured to perform flexible sync functionality, such as flexible partitioning and/or permissions, whether independently and/or in cooperation with the cloud-tier server performing the same or similar functionality. In some embodiments, systems described herein may provide flexible and consistent local data access to non-relational data in locations where remote network connections are intermittent, such as due to weather conditions, relatively frequent network outages, and/or due to the location regularly changing (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20240292167
Abstract: Spatial maps can be constructed that represent the relative positions of media playback system components within an environment. In one method, an orchestrator device transmits an instruction to a plurality of playback devices to initiate a localization session. After receiving the instruction, a first playback device transmits a localization signal which is received by the second playback device. Based on the localization signal, a spatial measurement parameter is obtained. The spatial measurement parameter is transmitted to a mapper device, which then constructs a spatial map of the environment including at least the first playback device and the second playback device.

  • Publication number: 20240249740
Abstract: Systems and methods for noise reduction using synthetic audio are disclosed. One or more playback devices include first microphone(s) (e.g., air-conduction microphone(s)) and second microphone(s) (e.g., bone-conduction microphone(s)). In operation, based on a user voice input, first and sound data streams are captured via the first and second microphone(s), respectively. The first sound data stream is evaluated to determine whether a noise threshold is exceeded. While the noise threshold is not exceeded, a synthetic sound data model is trained based on the first and second sound data streams. An audio output stream based on the first sound data stream is communicated to at least one second playback device. When noise is detected in the first sound data stream, a synthetic audio stream is mixed into the output audio stream. The synthetic audio stream can be produced based on the synthetic sound data model.

  • Patent number: 11119383
Abstract: Acousto-optical modulators, such as a SAW modulators, with telescope arrays and superimposed volume gratings for light field generation are disclosed. These devices can employ pixelated demagnification and have layers of output optics, such as reflective gratings and/or arrays of transmissive refractive or diffractive lenses that manipulate the light emitted by the SAW modulator. In other cases, superimposed volume gratings are used, in which pixilation occurs in angle space.

  • Patent number: 11054676
Abstract: A system and method for improving spatial light modulator (SLM) devices such as Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) modulators are disclosed. The SAW modulators can improved angular bandwidth and suppress unwanted diffractive orders. In one example, a coating layer(s) is applied to a proximal face of the SAW modulator to improve coupling of guided modes into leaky modes. Additionally, applying coating layers(s) such as a hybrid anti-reflective/highly reflective coating to an exit face of the SAW modulator can suppress transmission of undesired diffractive order(s).

  • Patent number: 10935868
Abstract: A light steeling system and method for diffractive steering of electromagnetic radiation such as visible light is disclosed. Embodiments of the light steering system include leaky-mode SAW modulators as light modulator devices. The SAW modulators preferably include reflective diffractive gratings. The gratings are mounted to/patterned upon an exit face that opposes an exit surface of the SAW modulator, in one example. Steering of light signals emitted from the SAW modulators in these systems can be accomplished by varying wavelength of light signals introduced to the SAW modulators, and/or by varying frequency of RF drive signals applied to the SAW modulators. In addition, light field generators that incorporate SAW modulators of the proposed light steering system within displays of the light field generators are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20200072693
Abstract: A hydraulic gage system is provided that includes a cylinder structure that is configured to allow the movement of a piston structure. The cylinder structure includes a plurality of vent structures that allows for the releasing of hydraulic fluid. A cover is positioned on the cylinder structure so when the piston passes the vent structures it relieves pressure as well as diminishes the force of impact on the cover by the piston.

  • Patent number: 10242333
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein describe a package management system that uses guidance devices when transporting packages. In one embodiment, the package management system includes an event detecting device that detects a package transporting event such as when a package is sorted into a container, a container is moved from the warehouse to vehicle, a container is moved from a vehicle into a warehouse, a package is delivered, a package is moved to a staging location, or a package is picked-up from a staging location. Once a container or staging location corresponding to the event is identified, a gateway identifies the guidance device assigned to that container or staging location and instructs the guidance device to illuminate a light disposed thereon.

  • Publication number: 20190025666
Abstract: A system and method for light field generation is disclosed. A proposed holographic display system encodes views of a scene into surface acoustic waves (SAW signals) that propagate along waveguides of SAW modulators and/or optical signals propagating in the waveguides. Each view provides a different perspective of the scene when the views are projected as light fields out of the SAW modulators and are viewed at different locations by an observer. In some examples, the system encodes the brightness information for each view into the light signals.
