Abstract: Transaction equipment includes an application controller that is capable of executing at least one of a settlement application and a business application, a radio communicator that performs communication with at least one peripheral equipment used in the settlement application or the business application or a docking device to which at least one peripheral equipment is connected, and a link establisher that selects any one of a plurality of docking device, as a first docking device, based on reception qualities of signals transmitted from the plurality of docking devices, and establishes a radio communication link with at least one peripheral equipment connected to the first docking device.

Abstract: A transaction processing system includes portable transaction equipment, and a docking device which is capable of being connected to various peripheral equipment and of being attached to and detached from the transaction equipment. The transaction equipment is set in a state in which an operation of the transaction equipment is restricted in a case where it is not checked that the transaction equipment is connected to the docking device connected to at least one peripheral equipment. The transaction equipment is set in a state in which an operation for a specific application is restricted in a case where a user with a specific authority does not log on after it is checked that authentication fails through the detachment of the transaction equipment from the docking device. The transaction equipment performs a transaction process by performing communication connection with permitted peripheral equipment based on identification information thereof.

Abstract: Transaction equipment switches from a monitor to an external display, and displays an operation screen of a settlement application or a business application, which is displayed on the monitor, on the external display through a docking device in response to the attachment of the transaction equipment to the docking device. When the own equipment is attached to the docking device, the transaction equipment detects a connection state of the external display to the docking device, performs an allocation setting such that first application A uses the external display in a case where the external display is connected, and performs an allocation setting such that second application B different from first application A uses an internal display in a case where the external display is not connected.

Abstract: A docking device is capable of being attached to and detached from portable transaction equipment capable of executing at least one of a settlement application and a business application, and includes an equipment holder that holds the transaction equipment, an attachment detector that detects the attachment of the transaction equipment to the equipment holder; and a controller that performs a notification operation for notifying of the occurrence of a defect in a case where a predetermined alert generation condition is satisfied when the transaction equipment is detached from the equipment holder. A possibility that the notification for notifying of the occurrence of the defect will be detected is increased.

Abstract: The information of sales items is transmitted from a cash register 1 to a sensing device 2 and stored in a sales items memory 26. In the sensing device 2, a commodities information memory 25 stores the information relating to a nominal weight of each commodity as well as a nominal weight of a package. A weight sensor 24 measures an actual overall weight of all of the sales items including the package. A controller 23 compares the measured overall weight with a sum of their nominal weight values, to detect any error in the packing operation.
