  • Patent number: 11926074
Abstract: An intermediate base material is provided that is excellent in the conformity to three-dimensional shapes and that, when formed into a fiber reinforced plastic, develops good surface quality and high mechanical properties. According to one aspect, an incised prepreg is provided that has, in at least a partial region in a prepreg that contains unidirectionally oriented reinforcing fibers and a resin, a plurality of incisions that divide reinforcing fibers, wherein, in the case where a population is made up of the numbers of incisions contained in ten small circular regions of 10 mm in diameter randomly selected in the aforementioned region, a mean value for the population is 10 or greater and a coefficient of variation therefor is within 20%.

  • Patent number: 5529877
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the preparation of a microcapsule excellent in core substance retention and mechanical strength as well as in environmental protection, safety and sanitation which can be used in the form of powder in a short capsulization time at a low cost. The present invention also provides an electrophotographic microcapsule toner having an excellent environmental stability of chargeability and a process for the preparation thereof. A novel process for the preparation of a microcapsule is provided which comprises emulsifying an oily composition containing a low boiling solvent in the presence of a cellulose dispersion stabilizer, and then subjecting the emulsion to interfacial polymerization so that it is capsulized, characterized in that said capsulization is effected at a temperature of not lower than the gelation temperature of said cellulose dispersion stabilizer while said low boiling solvent being removed from the oily droplets.

  • Patent number: 4140686
Abstract: Purified .alpha.-amino-.epsilon.-caprolactam free from not only visible ray-absorbing substances but ultra-violet ray-absorbing substances, such as, tetrahydrophenazine and octahydrophenazine, and volatile basic substances such as, ammonium salts, is obtained by dissolving a crude .alpha.-amino-.epsilon.-caprolactam in a solvent consisting of at least one alkyl ester of saturated aliphatic acid of the formula:C.sub.m H.sub.2m+1 COOC.sub.n H.sub.2n+1wherein m is 1 or 2 and n is 1, 2, 3 or 4, at an elevated temperature at which the crude material can be completely dissolved in the solvent, cooling the solution to a lowered temperature at which the .alpha.-amino-.epsilon.caprolactam is allowed to recrystallize from the solution, and separating the crystals of the purified .alpha.-amino-undecanoic acid from the solution.

  • Patent number: 3991114
Abstract: There is provided an improvement in the process for the amination of bis(2-chloro-1-nitrosocyclohexane) wherein bis(2-chloro-1-nitrosocyclohexane) prepared by reacting cyclohexene with nitrosyl chloride in the presence of liquid sulfur dioxide is treated with ammonia. Sulfur dioxide contained in the nitrosation reaction mixture in the form of a slurry or solution containing bis(2-chloro-1-nitrosocyclohexane) is evaporated in the presence of an inert organic solvent, incorporated into the reaction mixture, and is substantially removed from the reaction mixture. Thereafter, the slurry or solution of bis(2-chloro-1-nitrosocyclohexane) in the inert organic solvent thus prepared is treated with ammonia.
