  • Patent number: 10920837
Abstract: A retainer of a clutch device holds a weight held so as to be slidable in a substantially radial direction around a rotation axis. A push lever swings in response to a sliding movement of the weight, and, upon rotation, applies a centrifugal force to the weight to cause the weight to slide in an outer circumferential direction and brings an abutting end of the push lever into abutment with a pressure plate of the clutch device to apply a predetermined load to the pressure plate. The retainer includes a stopper to limit a movable range of the weight. At least the abutting end of the push lever is formed of an elastically deformable member.

  • Publication number: 20200292014
Abstract: A clutch device and a retainer thereof that are capable of allowing a large number of riders to enjoy riding motorcycles regardless of their physical strengths or driving skills, while ensuring the clamped state between a friction plate and a clutch plate in all engine speed ranges. A retainer of a clutch device holds a weight held so as to be slidable in a substantially radial direction around a rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 7454994
Abstract: A reverse gear system for a motorcycle includes a shifter for rotatably supporting the idler gear, locating the idler gear in a separation position to disengage the idler gear from the main-shaft-side gear when the shifter is set in a retracted position, and for locating the idler gear in an engagement position to engage the idler gear with the main-shaft-side gear when the shifter is set in a forward position; and a holding unit for provisionally holding the shifter selectively in a state with the shifter being set in the retracted position and in a state with the shifter being set in the forward position. The idler gear is combined with the shifter so that the idler gear has a shaft member formed thereon so as to be rotatably inserted in bearing apertures formed in the shifter. The bearing apertures are formed so as to have a length along a shifting direction of the shifter, the length being larger than a diameter of the shaft member.
