  • Publication number: 20160250616
Abstract: In existing structured packing, performance depends on effective contacting area. Performance decreases in cases having high surface tensions such mixtures containing a lot of water. Such mixtures are difficult to wet the packing surface. The present invention prevents liquid from intersecting the crease of the corrugation and from falling into a free space. Further, liquid flowing into the slot makes frequent liquid and vapor interfacial update resulting in positive utilization of the wetted area. The most important point of this invention is taking a large value of 3.5 or more of P/H (pitch/height of the crimp) and providing the horizontal slot on the crease, resulting in adding the flow reversal mechanism and frequent interfacial update.

  • Publication number: 20140103550
Abstract: [Object] In the existing structured packing, performance depends on the effective contacting area and it decreases in case that large surface tension mixture such as with a lot of water since such mixture are difficult to wet the packing surface. Also they have poor performance for relatively higher liquid load at atmospheric pressure or less and for high pressure system where the ratio of liquid/vapor load becomes relatively higher than non-high-pressure system. [Means for Solution] Summarized are the objects to be solved as follows. (1) Prevention liquid from intersecting the crease of the corrugation to fall into a free space. (2) Liquid flowing in to the slot makes frequent liquid and vapor interfacial update. (3) Positive utilization of wetted area. The most important point of this invention is taking a large the value 3.5 or more of P/H (pitch/height of the crimp) and providing the horizontal slot on the crease, resulting in adding the flow reversal mechanism and the frequent interfacial update.

  • Patent number: 6804023
Abstract: An appearance change of an information processing device, which has a plurality of operation modes and whose appearance is changed in accordance with change of operation mode, is displayed on a display screen as graphic data representing the appearance. When a memory card is extracted from the information processing device, an operation of the information processing device is reset to avoid a run away phenomenon. Furthermore, in an inquiry and communication operation, only necessary pages of resultant inquiry information are printed out at a time after the communication line is disconnected.
