  • Patent number: 10654334
Abstract: An HVAC system for a vehicle includes a housing, an evaporator disposed in the housing, and a heater disposed in the housing. The HVAC system further includes a bypass opening defined between an upper end of the evaporator and an upper end of the heater and an intermediate chamber defined by the evaporator, the heater, the housing, and the bypass opening. The HVAC system further includes an upper outlet passage configured to direct air from the HVAC system into a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The evaporator is configured to output a first stream of air into the intermediate chamber and the HVAC system is configured to operate in a first operating condition in which a first portion of the first stream of air will pass through the heater and a second portion of the first stream will bypass the heater by passing from the intermediate chamber through the bypass opening and into the upper outlet passage.

  • Patent number: 4830349
Abstract: A hydraulic clamp is provided that is suited for fixing a workpiece on the table of a machining center work pallet and the like. In a clamp housing there are arranged a swingable clamp arm and a hydraulic cylinder one before the other longitudinally, the clamp arm being pivotably supported near the lower end thereof to be freely swingable longitudinally, an elastic body is provided to extend from the clamp arm at the middle in height to a constituent member of the hydraulic cylinder so that the clamp arm is pushed back to be inward of the front face of the clamp housing in the absence of hydraulic oil pressure, while the clamp arm is driven forward by a piston of the hydraulic cyinder to be beyond of the front face thereof when sufficient oil pressure is provided to the hydraulic cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4489927
Abstract: A slide wedge clamp for clamping workpieces to a mounting face such as the work table of a machine tool. A work-engaging member is secured to the mounting face by a fixing bolt set perpendicular thereto. By screwing up a clamping bolt set downward through a clamping block with its rearward and downward facing driven wedge face in contact with its forward and upward facing driving counterpart wedge face on the work-engaging member, the clamping block is driven forward and downward for clamping. By providing a raised workpiece-carrying portion on the forward end side of the clamping block, it is possible to clamp workpieces in a raised state.
