A detection coil (33) embedded in a resin member (32) having a wedge-shaped cross section is placed in proximity to a bottom land (44) of the gear, and the carburized depth of the bottom land is measured to test the strength of the gear.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus comprises a module that can be loaded into a storage chamber of a housing. The module includes a tray supporting a main body and an operating lever rockably supported on the tray. The operating lever includes a first push portion, which is adapted to touch a first engaging portion of the housing to push in the tray when the lever is rocked to a first position, and a second push portion, which is adapted to touch a second engaging portion of the housing to push out the tray when the lever is rocked to a second position. The first and second engaging portions project into the storage chamber, and their regions of contact with the operating lever are situated inside the storage chamber.

Abstract: An expansion card support structure including a card receptacle having a support wall having an expansion slot and a card insertion port open to the support wall. An expansion card has been removably inserted into the card receptacle through the card insertion port. The expansion card has a substrate and a connection bracket covering the one expansion slot. A lock member is provided in the card receptacle. The lock member removably secures the connection bracket to the support wall. The lock member is supported in the card receptacle to rotate between first and second positions. The lock member contacts the connection bracket while remaining at the first position, thereby to lock the expansion card in the card receptacle. It is spaced apart from the connection bracket while remaining at the second position, thereby to release the expansion card from the card receptacle.
