  • Patent number: 4184761
Abstract: An exposure control device for the shutter of a camera wherein an opening member opens the aperture of the shutter to start exposure, a closing member closes the aperture to complete exposure, an opening hook and a closing hook retain at a charged position the opening member and the closing member, respectively. A control member is released by shutter release operation to control the exposure time by shutter release operation to control the exposure time and to successively release said opening member and said closing member. A governor delays the motion of said control member in proportion to desired exposure times. An interlocking lever is adjustable to a first range where it is actuated by the movement of the control member to push the closing hook and to a second range where it is actuated by the movement of the opening member to push the closing hook. An adjusting lever supports the interlocking lever operable within the first and second ranges.

  • Patent number: 4145132
Abstract: A camera shutter mechanism including a shutter opening member mounted for pivoting about a first axis between a closed position corresponding to a closed shutter and an open position corresponding to an open shutter, and a shutter closing member mounted for pivoting about a second axis between an open position corresponding to an open shutter and a closed position corresponding to a closed shutter. A movable driving member includes a coupling mechanism for releasably coupling the driving member to the shutter opening member to permit moving the shutter opening member by moving the driving member, and for releasing the shutter opening member from the driving member when the shutter opening member is moved from the open to the closed position. A first spring biases the driving member to move the shutter opening member from the closed to the opened position to initiate exposure, and a second spring biases the shutter closing member to move from the opened to the closed position to terminate exposure.

  • Patent number: 4143957
Abstract: A camera shutter includes a pair of spaced apart base plates supporting the various shutter components. At least one of the base plates is formed entirely of synthetic resin material which is electrically insulative and which possesses lubricating properties. The synthetic resin base plate has a set of tubular portions extending toward and connected to the other base plate and also has a set of shafts turnably supporting some of the shutter components, such as the control lever and control cam. The synthetic resin base plate also includes a hollow winding frame about which is wound a coil and in which is slidably inserted an armature to form an electromagnet for use in controlling the shutter operation. The use of a synthetic resin base plate dispenses with the necessity of separate lubrication and enables formation of a smaller shutter.

  • Patent number: 4142789
Abstract: A camera shutter mechanism including an actuating lever for actuating the mechanism, a biasing spring biasing the actuating lever to operate, and a hook lever for releasably holding the actuating lever against the action of the biasing spring. The actuating lever includes a pin extending outwardly therefrom, and a resilient cylindrical bushing loosely fitting around the pin, with the pin positioned so that the spring bears against the bushing to push the bushing against the pin. The pin is positioned so that structure for returning the actuating lever from a rest position to a cocked position pushes against the bushing when returning the actuating lever.

  • Patent number: 4134659
Abstract: A camera shutter control mechanism for controlling a shutter opening comprises an opening member movable in an opening direction for opening the shutter opening to start an exposure and a closing member movable in a closing direction for closing the shutter opening to terminate the exposure. Opening and closing pawls releasably lock the opening and closing members in their charged positions. An operating member actuates the opening pawl so as to release the opening member for movement in the opening direction and during the course of such movement, the opening member actuates an interlock lever which in turn actuates an adjustable fulcrum lever for actuating the closing pawl to release the closing member for movement in the closing direction. An exposure period setting member is arranged so as to adjust the operation of the fulcrum lever with respect to the closing pawl and for selectively effecting movement of the fulcrum lever to operative and inoperative positions.

  • Patent number: 4119986
Abstract: A control device of the shutter for a camera, which is equipped with shutter blades opening and closing an opening for the exposing operation. A control member actuated by the operation of shutter release and starting an opening member begins the exposing operation at the end of said operation, and an electromagnet connected to an electronic delaying circuit adjusts the time of finishing exposure. A magnetic control lever having a magnetic portion opposing said electromagnet and formed with synthetic resin, and a spring exerting a force for separating said magnetic portion of said magnetic control lever from said electromagnet, is constructed such that a flexible portion which presses said magnetic portion on the attracting face of said electromagnet against said spring is formed of synthetic resin on the engaging portion of at least one of said magnetic control lever and said control member.

  • Patent number: 4114174
Abstract: A shutter operating mechanism of a camera shutter which has an opening blade and a closing blade operated sequentially to open and close a shutter aperture for an exposure comprises an opening spring normally biasing the opening blade to move from a closed position in which the opening blade covers the shutter aperture to an open position in which the opening blade uncovers the shutter aperture; a second spring normally biasing the closing blade to move from a closed position in which the closing blade covers the shutter aperture to an open position in which the closing blade uncovers the shutter aperture; and a third spring normally biasing the closing blade to move from said open position to said closed position, the arrangement being such that when the shutter is charged, the opening blade and closing blade are in said closed position and when the shutter is released, the closing blade is moved under the bias of said second spring from said closed position to said open position, then the opening blade is m

  • Patent number: 4110767
Abstract: In a single lens reflex camera, the shutter base plate is provided with a recess in which the reflecting mirror is mounted. This permits the mirror to be closer to the film plane and hence permits the imaging plane, prism and viewing lens of the view finder to be closer to the optical axis of the camera lens, thus reducing the overall size of the camera.

  • Patent number: 4104665
Abstract: A camera shutter mechanism comprises opening and closing members sequentially movable to open and closed positions to accordingly effect opening and closing of a shutter aperture to complete an exposure. The opening member engages with a contact member to move the contact member into electrical contact with a stationary contact member during movement of the opening member into its open position and the opening member returns to its initial position during the course of movement of the closing member to its closed position.

  • Patent number: 4091401
Abstract: The operating mechanism for a camera shutter comprises a pivoted actuating member for opening the shutter and a pivoted actuating member for closing the shutter. A driving spring for biasing each of the actuating members in actuating direction has one end acting on the respective actuating member and the other end supported by a ratchet wheel which is coaxial with respective actuating member so that the spring bias can be varied by rotary movement of the ratchet wheel. Spring finger portions of a spring plate which overlies the shutter operating mechanism engage the ratchet wheels to retain them in selected angular positions against the reaction forces of the respective springs. Portions of the spring plate support the spring fingers intermediate their attachment to the spring plate and their free ends engaging the respective ratchet wheels.
