A method for producing a fiber assembly including cellulose water-repellent fibers of the present invention includes applying a water-repellent agent to at least one fiber assembly selected from cotton, a fiber bundle, a yarn, and a gray fabric, and cross-linking the water-repellent agent to the surface of cellulose fibers by drying and then heat curing.
