Abstract: A numerical display system for use in a small calculator has a multi-digit numerical display device for selectively energizing a plurality of segments to display alphanumeric characters, first drive circuit for causing the numerical display device to display a denominator and a numerator at a time, and second drive circuit for causing a denominator-numerator distinction symbol to be displayed between the denominator and the numerator by the selective energization of the plurality of segments.

Abstract: A numerical display system for electronic instrument comprises output means capable of displaying or printing a plurality of numbers different in unit or number system, numeric data storage means for supplying numeric data to the output means, and means for controlling the supply of the numeric data stored in the storage means to the output means and for controlling to suppress the output of zero in each of the numbers different in unit or number system contained in the numeric data to be displayed or printed.

Abstract: In an electronic instrument having a keyboard including numeric keys for entering numerical data into the instrument and instruction keys for entering instructions into the instrument, there is provided a memory responsive to the operation of the numeric keys to store numerical data therein, an arithmetic operating circuit responsive to the operation of the instruction keys to operate on at least the numerical data, a time counter for counting time, and a setter for setting the initial value in the time counter in accordance with the numerical data entered by operation of the numeric keys.

Abstract: The display control system incorporated in an electronic desk top calculator includes mark suppression means for suppressing the display of a mark or marks such as a comma associated with an insignificant digit or digits in addition to the zero suppression of the insignificant digit or digits in a digit position higher than the most significant digit to be displayed, and brightness of the display is improved and flicker is eliminated by holding the displayed information during a time period corresponding to more than one digit time, and overlapped displaying of the numeral, beat and noise are prevented by inserting blanking between adjacent display information signals applied to the displaying units.

Abstract: A display (or printing) device is dynamically capable of displaying an output numeral from a register in a time division manner. The display device is controlled by a control circuitry adapted to provide a blank time between display times of adjacent digit places in a group of display units so that the decrease of display brightness, the display flicker, an overlapped display and instantaneous display disturbance and so on may be prevented. The control circuitry further adapts to suppress insignificant zero which is not to be displayed by the group of display units.
