  • Publication number: 20070135084
Abstract: Distributed data is not edited at a distributing end but is edited in a terminal apparatus, thereby reducing the cost. The terminal apparatus can quickly retrieve necessary information. In the apparatus, a cell ID extracting part (104) extracts all the cell IDs that can be currently received. A data receiving part (105) extracts distributed data. A data sorting part (106) compares the cell ID related to the distributed data with the cell IDs that can be currently received, and adds priorities to the distributed data in such a manner that a “high” priority is given to the distributed data related to the same cell ID as the local cell, while the lower priorities being given to the distributed data related to the cell IDs of other cells that are farther from the local cell. A display part (108) sequentially displays the distributed data in decreasing order of the priority.

  • Patent number: 7072670
Abstract: In the present invention, with respect to content that is predicted to be referred to after moving based on a current position, moving direction and/or moving speed of a terminal apparatus, the terminal apparatus inquires of a communication information area managing section whether a position associated with the content is in a communication area, and when the position is outside the communication area, selects at least one communication section with communication-capable channel quality, and acquires and stores the content predicted to be referred to using the selected communication section. It is thereby possible to refer to the content when a position in response to the content predicted to be referred to is outside a communication-capable area.

  • Publication number: 20060059233
Abstract: In the present invention, content is comprised of a plurality of items of data, and a transmission cycle and others of data composing the content are varied corresponding to the importance and/or necessity and purpose of the data. In this way, for example, it is possible to set a shorter transmission cycle on high-necessity data than the transmission cycle of the low-necessity data, and to set a shorter transmission cycle on information such as summary information requiring fast viewing than the transmission cycle of detailed information.

  • Publication number: 20050262347
Abstract: The present invention generates watermark from ID information that uniquely identifies a program distribution destination, inserts the generated watermark in a program, and prevents the program from operating correctly if the watermark is tampered with, and also inserts the same watermark verification code in a program regardless of the distribution destination. By this means, it is possible to prevent detection of watermark verification code constituting a watermark by means of collusion attack.

  • Publication number: 20050018615
Abstract: Provided is a content classifying section 203 for classifying and bundling to-be-transmitted contents on the basis of any piece of information of media kind, IP address, port number and session identifier. A packet header compressing section 204 carries out header compression on the transmission packet. Due to this, because contents can be packet-transferred with efficiency and excellent error resistance by the use of a communication and broadcast network, it is possible to realize, even on the Internet for broadcast in a broadcast form, a quality broadcast free of image or sound discontinuity as the terrestrial-wave TV broadcast.

  • Publication number: 20040259495
Abstract: There is provided a transmitting section for receiving program information representative of an outline and receiving condition of a receivable program and further receiving a program on the basis of the program information, and a zone-change determining section for detecting a change of the program information. The program selecting section causes the transmitting section to suspend program reception and to switch a communication port, on the basis of a determination of a change of program distribution area by the zone-change determining section. Due to this, the transmitting section is allowed to continuously receive the program so far received. This, in the case a program is provided at a communication port different based on each region, makes it possible to correctly receive a program even if moving traversing a region.

  • Publication number: 20040244037
Abstract: In a broadcast using packet transmission, zapping-data and program data are packet-transmitted from a transmitting apparatus. A receiving apparatus receives and stores the data and zapping-data. Until the program data selected upon program reproduction becomes reproducible, zapping-data is reproduced, whereby the viewer can know the information about a program without waiting for a lapse of reproduction wait time after switching a program channel.

  • Publication number: 20040141491
Abstract: In the present invention, a cable network upstream from base stations is constructed in MPLS, and when a radio communication terminal moves from an area of a base station currently communicating with the terminal to an adjacent area of another base station and enters a diversity areas of the two base stations, a communication network control apparatus provides paths of MPLS to the two base stations, and copies a packet to the radio communication terminal to forward to the two base stations. Then, when the radio communication terminal moves out of the diversity area and enters an area of either of the base stations, the apparatus disconnects the path (LSP) to the base station whose area the terminal moves out of. It is thereby possible to assure QoS to the radio communication terminal, while eliminating the packet loss due to handover.

  • Patent number: 3979768
Abstract: A semiconductor element having a surface coating consisting of, for example, a silicon nitride film and a silicon oxide film covering different surface portions of a semiconductor substrate of, for example, silicon so that such surface coating can be utilized for selective diffusion of impurities such as gallium and antimony. In a semiconductor device thus formed, the surface coating acts as a satisfactory surface protective film against external atmosphere, and the backward characteristics of the PN junction can be improved because the end edge of the PN junction terminating at the substrate surface is covered with the silicon nitride film.

  • Patent number: 3948695
Abstract: A method of diffusing an impurity into semiconductor wafers, wherein the semiconductor wafers and sources of the impurity are arranged in a pressure-reduced vessel or a vacuum vessel with their surfaces opposed, and the vessel is heated to deposit the impurity on the surfaces of the semiconductor wafers and to diffuse the impurity into the wafer surfaces in a separate open vessel, whereby the dispersion or variation of the surface impurity concentrations of the semiconductor wafers is lessened.
