Abstract: Disclosed is an intelligent display method for a multimedia mobile terminal. The method includes the steps of determining a type of a camera shot existing in a sport game video; deciding a region of interest within an image frame of the sport game video when it has been determined that the camera shot is a long-distance shot, magnifying the region of interest, and displaying the region of interest on the mobile terminal, and displaying the entire image frame on the mobile terminal when it has been determined that the video shot is a non-long-distance shot. The method enables the user to watch images in a more understandable and comfortable manner.

Abstract: A continuous variable valve lift (CVVL) apparatus adjusting a valve lift, duration of valve opening and closing, and a valve timing includes a cam rotating by a cam shaft, a first shaft having a first radius, a second shaft having a second radius smaller than the first radius and coupled in the first shaft such that the first and second shafts are non-concentric, a roller moving upward and downward by a rotation of the cam and connected to the first shaft to be moved on the basis of a position of the first shaft, a first arm rotatably connected to the second shaft to be moved by the roller, and a second arm rotatably secured to a third shaft to open and close the valve by an operation of the first arm.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a video apparatus with a software upgrade function and a method for controlling the same, wherein software of the video apparatus can be downloaded through the use of a broadcast signal and the existing software of the video apparatus can be upgraded with the downloaded software, and software of a version desired by the user can be selected as needed. The video apparatus includes a tuner for receiving software of the video apparatus sent from a broadcast transmitting station, a controller for detecting the software of the video apparatus, downloading the detected software to a memory and upgrading the video apparatus with the downloaded software, and the memory adapted for storing the downloaded software under control of the controller.

Abstract: A television receiver and method of displaying and editing images in an electronic photo album are disclosed. The television receiver includes an interface means reading a plurality of still images and additional information corresponding to the still images, wherein the still images are stored in an external device, a central processing unit displaying a window including a sub-picture for searching the still images, and a main picture for displaying a still image selected from the sub-picture, and a memory for storing the read additional information.
