    Abstract: A near field communication (NFC) device, an authentication system using the NFC device and an authentication method thereof are provided. The NFC device includes a RFID tag, a loop antenna, a flexible fabric packaging material and an EMI shielding material. The device can be easily adhered to objects including most handsets for mobile phone services. By adopting the authentication system and the authentication method, the device can be paired with a typical mobile phone and used to authenticate the user, thereby enabling mobile payment and mobile banking activities using mobile phones.
