  • Publication number: 20230028049
Abstract: A Nuclear Medicine (N-M) imaging system including a gantry having a stationary stator and a rotor rotatably mounted on the stator and including detection units. The rotor is driven by a rotor driving assembly including a linear encoder. The detection units mounted on the rotor include scanning columns having one or more Multi-Pixel Photon Counter (MPC) mounted on one or more extendable arm. The gantry also includes flat cables connecting the controller with gantry components, e.g., the scanning column Multi-Pixel Photon Counters (MPC). The scanning columns are pivotably moveable by a scanning column driver system including a rotary encoder.

  • Patent number: 11337660
Abstract: In some embodiments, a safety system for a close range scanning machine inhibits collision of moving detector heads with a patient or other object. For example a proximity sensor and/or a collision sensor may guide to bring the head close enough to a patient and/or warn to prevent a collisions and or reduce impact. Parts that are in that are in the FOV of the detector may be transparent to the detected signal and/or uniformly affect the signal, facilitating identification of the source of the signal from the detector. In some embodiments, a dynamic motion restrictor is set during scanning according to the desired scanning position and/or the position of the patient. In some embodiments, a motion restrictor acts to prevent unbalanced motions.

  • Patent number: 8648748
Abstract: An effective marine stabilized antenna system, in terms of antenna to radome size and antenna/RF performance complies with all relevant worldwide SatCom regulations. The combination of a dual offset Gregorian antenna (DOGA) with a stabilized polarization over elevation over tilt over azimuth pedestal, and a control/stabilization algorithm, ensures antenna orientation restrictions guarantee compliance with side-lobe intensity regulations. Operating a dual offset Gregorian antenna substantially within a pre-determined antenna cut range of a 45 degree angle relative to a configuration of the antenna and a relative position of a target provides antenna performance that complies with applicable SatCom regulations, despite having to flip the antenna 90 degrees to continue tracking the satellite.
