Abstract: A guitar neck retainer releasably secures a guitar to a guitar stand having neck stops spaced apart so as to receive the neck of the guitar therebetween. The retainer includes an elongated, longitudinally resiliently stretchable strap having two ends. A flexible touch fastener is permanently attached to one end of the strap. The touch fastener is configured to be secured about a first neck stop of the stand to releasably attach the retainer to the first neck stop. A rigid hook is permanently attached to the other end of the strap. The hook defines a crook sized to receive a second neck stop of the stand to releasably attach the retainer to the second neck stop.
