  • Publication number: 20220383373
Abstract: Verification systems and techniques are described. Verification systems may include at least one processor operatively connected to a memory configured to determine a probabilistic linkage, in real time, between a user initiating an event at a merchant and user identities associated with previous events through analysis executed on at least one of the user's attributes or attributes of the user identity; identify, based on the probabilistic link, a user identity of the user identities corresponding to the user initiating the event; and enhance authorization or authentication decisioning for the event in response to the probabilistic linkage to at least one of a bad or good actor persona, the authorization or authentication decisioning optionally including preventing the event in response to determining the user identity is associated with the bad actor persona or permitting the event in response to determining the user identity is associated with the good actor persona.

  • Patent number: 9721253
Abstract: Various forms of information are utilized in a system and accompanying method for making inferences regarding the trustworthiness of a person performing an online transaction and deciding whether to allow the transaction to have material implications. More specifically, the information relates to the online browsing activity of a user and the online transaction being performed by the user. Further, information regarding certain probable characteristics of the user is determined based on a possible association between the user and one or more known entities. Based on the foregoing information, model attributes are derived and provided as input to a fraud determination model. Using this model and one or more of the attributes, a probability that the transaction is fraudulent is determined.

  • Publication number: 20070093946
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for command and control of an unmanned vehicle (“UV”). A preferred embodiment of the invention includes a Virtual Pilot (“VP”), which includes a Brain and an Arena The Brain includes rules governing the behavior of the UV and information on missions to be performed. The Arena includes state information about the UV and its environment. UVs in a swarm communicate with each other, as well as with various ground stations, through regular updates. Backup schemes are provided to deal with the failure of a UV module, thereby providing partial degradations in performance. Communication among the UVs and ground stations of a system employ a probabilistic scheme that promotes high spectral efficiency.
