  • Patent number: 10633068
Abstract: The invention relates to a sail having a variable profile. The sail can vary between a folded non-operative position and an unfolded operative position, wherein they determine the profile of the sail (2) and therefore the aerodynamic surface for contacting with the wind, characterised in that the sail comprises at least one sail element (24) which is inflatable and stiffenable, and which can be actuated by inflation (30) and stiffening means (29), between a folded position corresponding to said folded non-operative position and said unfolded operative position, in which the sail (2) is inflated. The profile of the sail is divided into sections (21, 22) on both sides of a shaft (20), and comprises a support structure (23) on which said inflatable sail elements (24) are disposed, said inflatable sail elements being formed by inflatable pockets (24) which can be actuated by said inflation (30) and stiffening means (29).

  • Patent number: 10572823
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for malware remediation may include constructing a malware detection model by (i) identifying multiple candidate hyperparameter sets, (ii) selecting, from the candidate hyperparameter sets, a set of hyperparameters for the malware detection model that optimizes a tradeoff between model efficacy and model size, and (iii) training the malware detection model on a set of training samples to distinguish between malicious samples and clean samples. After constructing the malware detection model, the disclosed computer-implemented method may also include using the constructed malware detection model to perform a security action. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10218598
Abstract: A method for analyzing a binary-based application protocol of a network. The method includes obtaining conversations from the network, extracting content of a candidate field from a message in each conversation, calculating a randomness measure of the content to represent a level of randomness of the content across all conversation, calculating a correlation measure of the content to represent a level of correlation, across all of conversations, between the content and an attribute of a corresponding conversation where the message containing the candidate field is located, and selecting, based on the randomness measure and the correlation measure, and using a pre-determined field selection criterion, the candidate offset from a set of candidate offsets as the offset defined by the protocol.

  • Publication number: 20180148356
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for the production of hydrogen from sea water. Said system comprises a ship (1) provided with sails (2) for capturing wind in order to move the ship, at least one turbine (3) which is disposed underneath the ship in order to remain submerged in the water and which is made to rotate by the action of the water flowing via same when the ship (1) moves in relation to the water, an electric generator (4) adapted to convert the rotation of the turbines (3) into electrical energy, a system (5) for generating hydrogen from the electrical energy generated, and hydrogen storage means (6). The sails (2) have a profile that can be configured between a folded non-operative position and an unfolded operative position, wherein they determine the profile of the rail and therefore the aerodynamic surface for contacting with the wind.

  • Patent number: 9977910
Abstract: A trusted user circle server for encryption key distribution and authentication support, as well as a client-side application which resides on user's devices are disclosed. In particular, the trusted user circle server manages a repository for static public keys (SPUK) which are used for authentication and secure distribution of a dynamic private context key (DPCK) used for the end-to-many encryption. Accordingly, posting users encrypt posted document using the DPCK and viewing users retrieve the DPCK to decrypt the posted document. These keys are associated to the trusted user circle and are generated dynamically for a given circle policy context (CPC). The CPC is an identifier that represents a group of members of a trusted user circle. It changes whenever any member of the trusted user circle leave it, when a new trusted user circle is created or when the DPCK expires after a pre-determined period of time.

  • Patent number: 9967274
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for identifying compromised devices within industrial control systems may include (1) monitoring network traffic within a network that facilitates communication for an industrial control system that includes an industrial device, (2) creating, based at least in part on the network traffic, a message protocol profile for the industrial device that describes (A) a network protocol used to communicate with the industrial device and (B) normal communication patterns of the industrial device, (3) detecting at least one message that involves the industrial device and at least one other computing device included in the industrial control system, (4) determining, by comparing the message with the message protocol profile, that the message represents an anomaly, and then (5) determining, based at least in part on the message representing the anomaly, that the other computing device has likely been compromised.

  • Patent number: 9100326
Abstract: A method for analyzing an application protocol of a network. The method includes extracting non-alphanumeric tokens from conversations of the network, selecting frequently occurring non-alphanumeric token as a field delimiter candidate for dividing each conversation into a slice-set, analyzing slice-sets of the conversations to determine a statistical measure of matched slices for each conversation, and -o determine a field delimiter candidate score by aggregating the statistical measure of matched slices for all conversations, and selecting the non-alphanumeric token as the field delimiter of the protocol based on the field delimiter candidate score associated with the non-alphanumeric token.
