Publication number: 20240220408Abstract: Methods and apparatus relating to dynamic allocation schemes applied to a memory side cache for bandwidth and/or performance optimization are described. In an embodiment, a memory side cache stores a portion of data to be stored in a main memory. Logic circuitry determines whether to allocate a portion of the memory side cache for use by a device. The remaining portion of the memory side cache is to be used by a processor. The allocated portion of the memory side cache is reallocated for use by the processor in response to a determination that the allocated portion of the memory side cache is no longer to be used by the device. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2022Publication date: July 4, 2024Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: Nadav Bonen, Israel Diamand, Julius Mandelblat, Asaf Rubinstein, Igor Brainman

Patent number: 10461828Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to a time division duplex (TDD) antenna sector switch. A device may determine one or more antenna sector configurations based on TDD beamforming, wherein the one or more antenna sector configurations are associated with first antenna sectors used to communicate with a first station device (STA). The device may initiate a TDD sector switch with the first STA to switch from the one or more first antenna sectors to one or more second antenna sectors. The device may cause to send, to the first STA, an action frame comprising TDD sector setting parameters associated with the TDD sector switch. The device may identify a response frame received from the first STA, wherein the response frame comprises the TDD sector setting parameters. The device may perform the TDD sector switch by switching from the one or more first antenna sectors to the one or more second antenna sectors.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2018Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: Intel IP CorporationInventors: Oren Kedem, Carlos Cordeiro, Michael Glik, Elad Levy, Igor Brainman, Cheng Chen

Patent number: 9923663Abstract: Logic may enable communication between stations in the presence of interference. Logic may communicate with the station in the presence of interference, the interference from a communication between other stations comprising a first network allocation vector (NAV) reminder, by entering a mode in which a Control Physical layer (PHY) modulation and coding scheme (MCS) is enabled and a Single Carrier PHY MCS is disabled. Logic may enable the Single Carrier PHY MCS in response to receipt of a clear-to-send (CTS) or an expiration of a CTS timeout. Logic may determine an active time remainder during a Contention-based access period. Logic may determine a time to access a channel in response to receipt of the Denial to Send and based upon a predefined, maximum inactivity time. Logic may remain beamformed while the apparatus is in the Control PHY mode.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2014Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: Intel IP CorporationInventors: Solomon B.
