  • Patent number: 6116888
Abstract: Improved blow-molding prototype molding system, method and apparatus wherein a plastic container is first designed using computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce a geometric computer software model of a hollow plastic container of desired contour. This model is then used to generate a geometric computer software model of a corresponding mold cavity. This data file in turn provides the control signal for a cutting tool of a CNC three axis mold machining tool operating on a starting blank for each mold half of metal material having predetermined and constant length, width and thickness outside dimensions. A mold cavity is thereby automatically machined in a front face of this blank that constitutes one of the two major and parallel face planes of the mold half block. The other half of the mold cavity is similarly formed in the front face of a second mold half block that cooperates with the first mold block to form the two mold halves of a complete blow mold.

  • Patent number: 6063223
Abstract: A dual chamber flexible tube dispensing package is formed by providing a pair of plastic parisons, blow molding each parison to form a tube having a rigid finish, a shoulder adjacent the finish and a flexible body extending from the shoulder with a closed lower end; each tube having a generally D-shaped cross section throughout the finish, shoulder and body; each tube having an arcuate wall and a generally flat wall; and bringing the flat walls into abutting relationship. Each tube has a thread such that when the flat walls are in abutting relation, the thread on one tube form continuous thread with the thread of the other tube. In another form of dual chamber dispensing package, each tube has a plurality of vertically spaced integral ribs which extend transversely. The ribs on one tube are staggered relative to the ribs on the other tube so that when the tubes are brought into engagement, the ribs on one tube engage the ribs on the other tube and the shoulders are in abutment.

  • Patent number: 5988460
Abstract: A plastic container that includes a hollow container body having a body opening, a cylindrical finish wall portion surrounding the body opening and extending from the body, with external threads for receiving a closure, and a spout secured to and projecting axially from the externally threaded wall portion. The body, wall portion and spout are of as-molded one-piece or monolithic integral plastic construction. The axial dimension of the spout preferably is greater than that of the externally threaded wall portion of the container finish. The threaded wall portion or the spout has an axially oriented surface that lies in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the container finish for sealing engagement with a closure or cap that is threaded onto the container finish.
