  • Publication number: 20220264111
Abstract: A video to be encoded using a codec is received. A first-pass analysis of the frames of the video is performed, including by collecting first-pass statistics data for each of the frames of the video. A specific frame of the video is selected for boosting an encoding rate of the specific frame. At least a portion of the first-pass statistics data is provided to a model to determine a boost factor for the specific frame. The encoding rate for the specific frame is determined using the boost factor.

  • Publication number: 20100045069
Abstract: A removable aerodynamic cover for pickup truck bed is disclosed. The aerodynamic cover reduces air drag and reduces fuel consumption of a pickup truck vehicle, and increases volume of covered storage area, comparatively with commonly used flat truck bed covers. The aerodynamic cover preferably has a convex parabolic or elliptical shape and fits to the contour of the truck cabin back panel on the forward side and edge of tail gate panel on the back side. The preferred embodiment has locks or hinges for easy attaching to the side frame edges of a truck box, and optionally consists of segments for easy removing and storage.

  • Publication number: 20050036550
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided in which video information streams are encoded and transmitted with optimal utilization of constrained bit-rate channel. In accordance with one embodiment, among others, a system is provided, which includes synchronous multi-channel encoder (SMEs), a system multiplex controller (SMC), switches, and a multiplexer. In combination, these components receive an input video signal, and produce encoded video bit streams from the received input video signal. Each encoded video bit stream is substantially identical to other encoded video bit streams, but each encoded video bit stream has a different bit rate than the other encoded video bit streams. An optimal encoded video bit stream is determined from the encoded video bit streams. That optimal encoded video bit stream is selected, multiplexed, and than delivered to the output.
