  • Patent number: 11424654
Abstract: Various embodiments include a sprayable formulation for production of a multilayer insulation for an electrical machine, especially a rotating electrical machine in the high-voltage or mid-voltage sector, for example a generator, transformer, which is subjected to higher rated voltages at operating voltages, i.e., for example, over and above 1 kV or more. The invention also relates to an electrical machine comprising such an insulation; the invention finally relates to a method of producing the multilayer insulation. This comprises spraying of various formulations with or without intermediate, especially metallic, interfaces and is automatable.

  • Patent number: 9984796
Abstract: An insulating system having improved partial discharge resistance includes an insulating tape around a conductor. The tape is a mica tape joined to a carrier. The tape is impregnated with a synthetic resin, and is interspersed with a nanoparticulate filler, present bimodally, in the form of two fractions of the filler differing in particle size and fraction size. An adhesion promoter may be in the resin.

  • Patent number: 9589699
Abstract: Disclosed are insulating electric conductors against partial discharge and a method for producing an insulation system having improved partial discharge resistance and such an insulation system. There is an erosion-inhibiting effect of adhesion promoters, such as organic silicon compounds, added to resin when admixing nano particulate fillers. Good results may be attributable to a type of particle wetting of the nano particles as a result of particle wetting with organosilanes. The admixture of adhesion promoters with the resin before the addition of the nano particulate filler provides considerable advantages.
