In embodiments a method includes receiving a request to execute a run, the run at least including a planning step where proposed changes to a configuration of API-manageable resources are determined. In one or more embodiments, the method includes determining a first external application having a first associated action not included in the run. In one or more embodiments the method includes generating a run pipeline between the first external application by conditioning execution of the planning step by an IT infrastructure controller on the first associated action.

In embodiments, the backend IT infrastructure system is configured to receive a request to execute a run based on a configuration file including infrastructure as code instructions. In embodiments, the backend system is configured to submit one or more run tasks to the local provisioning agent. In embodiments the backend system is configured to output state files to the local database. In embodiments the version-control system is configured to manage the configuration file while the backend system is configured to monitor the file via the version-control system over a network tunnel.

In various embodiments a method includes determining a run queue that includes two or more runs, each run in the run queue having a prioritization parameter that indicates a first order of runs, determining one or more run queue prioritization factors, and generating a second order of runs based on the one or more run queue prioritization factors. In embodiments runs can then retrieved for execution from the second run queue based on the second order.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to methods and systems for information technology (IT) resource management in workspaces maintaining configurations of API-manageable resources. In various embodiments the method includes queuing a run including a plan of proposed changes to a configuration maintained by a first workspace, and determining one or more policies associated with the first workspace. In various embodiments, the method includes determining a policy check of the first plan indicating that the proposed changes to the configuration would violate a policy in the one or more policies and indicating an enforcement parameter for the violated policy. In various embodiments, the method includes, prior to an apply of the first plan, notifying a user of the policy check by indicating the violated policy and the enforcement level parameter of the violated policy.
