  • Patent number: 12610279
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for determining user throughput in a cell sector of a cellular network. The method includes estimating a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) available for a user in the cell sector at a given frequency, estimating data throughput per PRB in the cell sector at the given frequency, wherein data throughput per PRB in the cell sector includes a plurality of PRB values across a plurality of parts of the cell sector respectively, estimating a product of the number of PRBs and data throughput per PRB in the cell sector at the given frequency, to generate user throughput data at the given frequency in the plurality of parts of the cell sector, and summing a plurality of user throughput data computed at corresponding plurality of frequencies to generate an overall user throughput in the plurality of parts of the cell sector.
