  • Publication number: 20030070565
Abstract: An electrical household appliance, in particular, a food processor, includes a drive motor installed in a housing having at least one bottom and one top housing part. The housing parts are held together by a screw connection. A largely vibration-isolated connection of the two housing parts is achieved by introducing, at the connecting locations, elastic buffer elements that prevent direct contact of the housing parts at the connecting locations.

  • Publication number: 20030070564
Abstract: A food processor includes two coupling points for processing appliances, the points disposed in a three-dimensionally spaced manner on a housing, output shafts respectively driven by a drive motor provided at each coupling point, an actuating element coupled to a switch located in an electrical circuit of motor is provided on the housing. The food processor cannot be operated if one of the coupling points is not covered because, in addition to the switch in the electrical circuit of the drive motor, two switching contacts, connected in series, are provided, one of which can be switched into its closed position directly or indirectly by the placing of a processing appliance or cover part on one coupling point and the other can be switched into its closed position directly or indirectly by the placing of a processing appliance or a cover part on the other coupling point.

  • Publication number: 20030066917
Abstract: A food processor having a drive subassembly is disposed in the housing and coupled to a first and a second output shaft, each output shaft having with at least one coupling location for an attachment and, in addition, by the interposition of a gear mechanism, the output shafts being driven at different rotational speeds. The coupling of attachments requiring relatively small torques is simplified in that, spaced apart at a different level from its one coupling location, at least one of the two output shafts is provided with an additional coupling location for further attachments.

  • Publication number: 20030066916
Abstract: A household appliance, in particular, a food processor, includes a drive unit installed in a housing, a container having a tool is placed on the housing at the point thereon provided with a output shaft. The tool is capable of being coupled to the output shaft when the container is placed in position. Placement of the container in the correct position is ensured by providing an element, fitting together with a counter-element provided on the container, in a region of the placement point on the housing. The elements engage one another when the container is placed on the housing.

  • Publication number: 20030066438
Abstract: A food processor includes a drive subassembly disposed in a housing and coupled, in drive terms, to a gearwheel connected, in its axis center, to a first driveshaft, which driveshaft is further provided with a drive pinion for a planet gear associated with the gearwheel and to the planet carrier of which is connected a further driveshaft that encloses the first driveshaft concentrically. The installation of a planet gear does not result in any increase in the overall volume if the gearwheel is cup-shaped and, on its lateral cup surface, has an outer tooth formation, and, furthermore, the fixed toothed ring of the planet gear is a cup-shaped hollow-wheel toothed ring and is inserted concentrically into the cup space of the gearwheel.

  • Publication number: 20030066437
Abstract: A household appliance, in particular, a food processor, includes a housing with at least two housing parts joined together, and in which there is an electric operating element, of which an electric circuit has a control member actuated by an actuating element disposed on the outside of the housing. Because the control member is fastened on a carrier part disposed in a floating manner directly or indirectly on the one housing part, at least one aligning element is provided on the other housing part that, when the housing parts are joined together, comes into engagement with a mating aligning element provided on the carrier part. The aligning element on the other housing part is aligned to an installation opening provided thereon for mounting the actuating element. Improved thereby is production of the electrical connections between the operating element and the control member and coupling the actuating element to the control member.

  • Patent number: 6000651
Abstract: An electric food processor has a housing in which there is arranged an electric motor with a motor shaft. A belt drives a step-down belt pulley of a vertical first shaft from the motor shaft. The first shaft is disposed vertically in the housing and working tools running in a working container that can be placed on the housing of the food processor can be coupled to the first shaft. A compact and flat construction of the food processor is assured in that the electric motor is aligned horizontally in the housing. The motor shaft rotates about a substantially horizontal axis. An intermediate shaft is mounted essentially vertically in the housing. The intermediate shaft is coupled to the motor shaft with a half-crossed, first belt and, on the other hand, is coupled to the vertical first shaft by an open, second belt. The first shaft is thus driven by the motor through the intermediary of the intermediate shaft.
