  • Publication number: 20140312771
Abstract: A rectangular LED lighting apparatus connected directly to an AC power supply is provided. The rectangular LED lighting apparatus includes: a printed circuit board in which circuit patterns are formed for electrical connection of LEDs; a rectification unit configured to rectify an AC voltage and output a DC rectified voltage; an LED unit driven by the rectified voltage, the LED unit including first to n-th light emitting blocks (where n is a positive integer equal to or greater than 2) arranged linearly on the printed circuit board; and an LED driving control unit configured to sequentially drive first to m-th light emitting groups (where m is a positive integer equal to or greater than 2), each of which includes n LEDs, according to a voltage level of the rectified voltage output from the rectification unit.

  • Publication number: 20120084537
Abstract: A filter executing on a processor monitors instructions executing on the processor to identify instructions that will benefit from performance tuning. Filtering instructions before analysis for performance tuning reduces overhead by identifying candidates for performance tuning with low cost monitoring before expending resources on analysis so that only instructions that will have performance tuning are analyzed. Reducing overhead for performance tuning makes performance tuning practical in a dynamic optimization environment in which instructions and their effective addresses change over time.

  • Publication number: 20070239974
Abstract: An information processing system includes a branch target buffer (BTF) comprising the last next address for the instruction and for receiving an indirect instruction address and providing a BTB predicted target; and next branch target table (NBTT) for storing potential branch targets based on a history of the branch and for providing an NBTT when the a BTB predicted target is not successful. In another embodiment a system comprising a plurality of branch prediction resources dynamically predicts the best resource appropriate for a branch. The method includes predicting a target branch for an indirect instruction address using a resource chosen among the plurality of branch prediction resources; and selectively inhibiting updates of the branch prediction resources whose prediction accuracy does not meet a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070133352
Abstract: Provided are a system and method for position awareness that can be used indoors in a large-scale environment and can minimize generation of radio frequency (RF) and ultrasonic waves in a wireless sensor network including low-priced sensor nodes capable of precise position measurement, thus improving energy efficiency by reducing unnecessary power consumption. The method includes the steps of: (a) calculating initial position coordinates using beacon information received from adjacent beacons through a broadcast beacon solicitation signal, sending a synchronization signal to the beacons, and synchronizing the beacons; (b) receiving ultrasonic waves generated from the adjacent beacons activated by a broadcast start message, and calculating position coordinates; and (c) when the calculated position coordinates correspond to a predetermined hand-off threshold position, transmitting a hand-off process message to a newly activated beacon, and executing a hand-off process routine.

  • Publication number: 20060192712
Abstract: The present invention relates to an antenna module which can minimize the occupying space in an electronic device, enhancing degrees of freedom to increase efficiency in space utilization, thereby accommodating miniaturization and multi-functionality of the electronic device, and an electronic device having the same. The antenna module includes a flexible substrate, an antenna element having a feeder part, a first fixing part, and a radiation part. The antenna module further includes a feeder line connected to the feeder part having a feeder pad, a first fixing pad connected to the first fixing part, and a pad coupling element. In the invention, signals are processed via interaction between the resonance of the current running through the feeder line to the radiation part and the resonance of the current coming into the pad coupling element.
