  • Patent number: 11752939
Abstract: An information presentation apparatus includes an out-of-vehicle risk detection section that is configured to detect an out-of-vehicle risk object, a gaze detection section that is configured to detect a gaze direction of a driver of the vehicle, a recognition determination section that is configured to determine whether the out-of-vehicle risk object is recognized by the driver based on a detection result by the out-of-vehicle risk detection section and a detection result by the gaze detection section, and an information presentation section that is configured to present, to the driver, out-of-vehicle risk information regarding the out-of-vehicle risk object in a presentation mode. The information presentation section is further configured to change the presentation mode depending on whether the out-of-vehicle risk object is recognized by the driver based on a determination result by the recognition determination section.

  • Patent number: 7952463
Abstract: A vehicle security system includes a screen for displaying a message, a fingerprint reader provided to the screen to detect a fingerprint of a driver touching the screen with a finger, a switch having a first state for allowing engine start of a vehicle and a second state for prohibiting the engine start, and a controller for keeping the switch in the second state until receiving the fingerprint from the reader and for changing the switch to the first state upon receiving the fingerprint from the reader. The reader can detect the fingerprint of the driver without being noticed by the driver, because the message leads the driver to unquestioningly touch the screen with the finger. Even if the vehicle is stolen by the driver, the driver is identified by the detected fingerprint so that a chance of catching the driver can be increased.
