  • Patent number: 6862773
Abstract: A dust cover sealing apparatus of a vacuum cleaner comprises a first fence protruding from an edge of a dust collecting chamber and having a predetermine height, and a second fence protruding from an inner surface of the dust cover to contact an end of the first fence when the dust cover is mounted on a cleaner body, and a plurality of guide ribs protruding from an inner surface of the dust cover adjacent to a side of the second fence, for guiding the second fence so that ends of the first and second fences contact each other when the dust, cover is mounted on the cleaner body. Accordingly, the sealing efficiency of the dust collecting chamber is maintained, and the manufacturing cost is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040045125
Abstract: A rotary brush for a vacuum cleaner comprises a drum 110 rotatably supported in a housing 21 of a brush assembly 20 and provided with bristles 111 on outer circumference, a bearing 120 including outer 122 and inner races 121 and having the outer race 122 press-fit in a groove 112 formed at an end of the drum 110, and a holder 130 having one side connected with the housing 21 and another side supporting the inner race 121 for the drum 110 to be rotatably supported in the housing 21. According to the present invention having the above-described structure, the number of parts can be reduced, thereby reducing the number of moving parts and also reducing the manufacturing costs.

  • Publication number: 20030145420
Abstract: An upright vacuum cleaner comprises a cleaner body pivotably connected to a suction port assembly, plural locking recesses formed in a side of the cleaner body, and a resilient pedal pivotably mounted on the suction port assembly, and having a locking protrusion which is sequentially locked in the one or more locking recesses when the cleaner body rotates. The locking recesses comprise a parallel position recess in which the locking protrusion is locked when the cleaner body rotates to a parallel position with respect to a surface to be cleaned. Accordingly, even when the cleaner body is in a position parallel to the surface to be cleaned for a long time, the resilient support portion of the resilient pedal is prevented from being deformed permanently.
