    Abstract: A system for measuring a direction of the face of a driver in a vehicle includes a sensor system for measuring a distance between a headrest in the vehicle and the face of the driver, and a controller communicatively connected to the sensor system and configured to collect the measured distance for a predetermined period of time, calculate an average distance between the headrest and the face of the driver by using the collected distance, and compare the calculated average distance and a current distance between the headrest and the face of the driver to determine the direction of the face of the driver in the vehicle.
